Maybe the prob is Emma's name not being listed as Nash. Maiden name is Phillips, first mar to John W. Nash, about 1917, and second mar to Mr Carter. No children there.

All five children in the family are now listed with half sibling relationships.that is not correct. Mr Nash died in 1977 bur at Larned, KS. She married Mr Carter after 1977

Since you are indeed a relative to Jonathan Brian Markel, then that makes you and I of some very distant associated family link. Jonathan's maternal grandfather, Lt. Col. James Fella Hill was the only child of James Garfield Hill and Amelia Louise Fella. James Garfield Hill was a brother to Anna Hill, who married Joseph Louis Mackey, and Anna and Joe were my paternal grandparents. So, hello distant, distant cousin! Should you possibly enjoy any additional family link information, I would be delighted to share.

I just wanted to ask if you might actually be related to Jonathan Brian Markel # 27216900? I have some additional family link information if anyone might have an interest - his maternal grandfather was Lt. Col. James Fella Hill (1911-1950) who was never recovered as a Prisoner during the the Korean Conflict. There is a memorial marker for James Fella Hill in Spencer County, Indiana - # 38894537.
PS - Jonathan's birthdate was May rather than March - data was in error in original Find A Grave post.

Marla, would you please transfer the memorial for Joseph Mathias Hickel to me? He is buried in the Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood, Kansas. I am his son and do much of the genealogy for the Hickel family.
