Bio and Links
Bio Photo I finally had to change my profile picture. The old picture of my youngest son was quite out of date considering he's going into 2nd grade next year :( He still enjoys going out to take pictures with me so there's still hope for him!
There are so many old cemeteries in this part of NC so we are trying to post as many interments as possible to help all you researchers out. Also, most of the stones they used for markers in the 1800's are not standing up to the elements very well so it's a race against time to get as many pictures as possible. If you are looking for more NC relatives, I am working with the team of volunteers at cemeterycensus.com. They have surveyed and taken pictures of a ton of cemeteries in central NC.

One of the most popular questions I get emailed is asking permission to use "my" photos. The short answer is yes, you can use any pictures I have taken. I don't require references or accreditation because that's not why I joined the website and volunteer to take photos. I don't consider them my property unless you use them to somehow make millions of dollars (then I'd appreciate a small kickback) :)

October 2016

Work on Alamance Memorial Garden is going well. There are 18 sections and a mausoleum and I have completed 10. The area I'm doing now is a very active part of the cemetery so it's been hard to go there when they aren't performing a service or someone is visiting.
Fun fact: I have approved 13,116 edits since they switched to this new edit system. That's about 1/3 the memorials I have created! Great job fellow Findagravers! That being said I've had an increase in angry emails about incorrect edits and memorial layouts. When did the world get so angry? A polite suggestion will get the same result. I typically get around 50 edits a day and I don't have time to investigate accuracy. I'm depending on the person sending the edit to actually have it correct.

My Mom
Just saw where you created a memorial(?) for my Mom, who is living. Please transfer this one to me for sure. Vera Anna Cobb Ingle #34565679. Thanks. I'd be happy to manage any of the Ingles you have in North Carolina, particularly the ones buried at Springwood Presbyterian and Brick Church. I know most of their descendants & can make sure the 'genealogical chain' is recorded. Thank you!

RE: Request to manage my ancestors
I clicked on the edit tab but did not see a way to request management transfer, so here are the #s & names #34565693, Meban Ingle. #34565667, George Zwingli Ingle. #34565680, Daniel Mebane Ingle. Looks like you had created a memorial for #35767358, Capt. Barney Ingle as well but transferred its management to someone named Allen Altvater III. I'll have to message him & see if we are distant cousins. Allen is also managing #8045183, David Sidney Ingle who was Capt. Barney's son & my Gr-Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandfather...must be his ancestor. I can see how my Dad got hooked on family research. Since I've been browsing around on this website last 2 days looking at names, I now believe I'm kin to 1/2 of both Alamance & Guilford Counties :-P. How'd you get into creating memorials for Ingles? Are you my kin, too? :)

Request to manage my ancestors
Hi,
After my Dad, Jesse Carson Ingle, Sr. (memorial #24535089) passed, I discovered the find-a-grave website and created a memorial for him (as well as my grandmother, Mozelle G. Cobb, on my Mom's side). My Father was a history major and really loved genealogical research. He had traced our family back to a little town in Germany (Kleingarnstadt, Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha,Thuringen) and when my first Ingle ancestor came to America with his land grant from King George III (I have seen a micro-fische of the landgrant in the library on Salisbury). Off & on over the years I have come back to the site to do research and look at other family members as I have had time. I retired in 2014 & hope to have some more time to devote to the genealogical research that my Father did and make it as easy as possible for anyone to be able to research the Ingle Family.I notice that you are managing quite a few memorials for some of my ancestors and I was wondering if you would be willing to transfer the management of them over to me? I greatly appreciate your adding them but there are some links that need to be created as well as some info that needs editing/correcting and it would be so much easier if I could do that myself. Thank you for your consideration. If you'd like to contact me directly, I can send you my email address if there is a way to send private messages through findagrave. I am not sure how to do that yet though. P.S. If you look at the picture of the backside of my Dad's tombstone which lists his descendants & children, I am his youngest child listed - Laura Frances
