|Bio and Links|
|I became interested in genealogy after my Father passed away. I felt a need to "find my roots". Find a Grave has been so helpful to me in my search. Obituaries hold a wealth of information, and often allow me to find a "link" to reconnect parents and families. |
If you are related and I have a memorial for one of your loved ones, please contact me by clicking on the edit tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial and then clicking the suggest a correction link to ask for a transfer. Connecting families, both past and present, is what it is all about!!

Thanks! I realized after asking that you also took the photo for his wife's stone, so will use that one too. Please let me know if any problem with that.
Thanks again! :)

Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?
Thanks for considering my request. :)

Thank you for adding this memorial. Geneva is my aunt who passed away before I was born. Did you find a copy of her death certificate or obituary? I would love to see them if you did.
|Louella Hatfield-Likens||Thursann Hatfield Jennings|
My name is Louella Jane (Hatfield) Likens and Thursann was my aunt. My grandfather, Clyde C. Hatfield, was her brother. I remember going over to visit them in Muncie. We lived just a few minutes away on Mock Avenue and she had a bird with a top hat, a yellow bill and a red bottom that would bob up and down over a glass of water. I remember watching that for hours and listening to stories that she, Uncle Harrison, Grandma Mamie (Clyde's wife) and my father Robert Hatfield. She gave the best hugs! My father used to slip some money into Velma Dean's hand whenever we got ready to leave. He told me that he did that because that is what he remembered Grandpa Clyde doing. My Pop just recently passed away (31 July 2014) and I am researching our family history so that my children will have a better idea from whence they came. Have a great day!
|Bodo Zimmermann||Family tree Philip Jacob Hofherr|
we are related by Johannes Hofherr (1744 - 15 March 1818) to Philipp Jakob Hofherr (10 April 1822 - 9 August 1901), the founder(?) of the "Hofherr Chapel", which was detroyed by fire in 1981.
Are you too related to thes Persons? Do you have photos of the undestroyed Hofherr chapel. I have just put a photo of the Hofherr chapel to Google maps, but this should depict only a small part of the original building.
husband of Irmgard, born Hofherr in Germany near Heidelberg.

Thanks for posting the picture of Duane and Jean's stone. They are Amanda's mother and father in law. Today is Jean's Angel Day. I hope you are okay, let's get together soon.
|Kurt Mussler||Griffith Relationships|
I thought I'd fill you in on the relationships between people in three adjacent family plots at Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie, IN. As you have figured, Edward Lytle Griffith was married to Ella W. Griffith. Their two sons are in front of them in the family plot, F. Randolph Griffith and George Lytle Griffith. In the plots to the left are the Mussler and Gay families. Mildred Marie Jones[Griffith] [Shinkle] Gay was the wife of George Lytle Griffith. They married in 1921. He died in December of 1924. In 1930, she married local businessman, Robert Shinkle, who has a marker between the Gay marker and the road. Robert Shinkle died in 1951. She married Miami attorney Russell Gay in 1956. George Lytle Griffith and Mildred Jones had one child, Gloria. Gloria, her husband Ernest Mussler and her third child, Mark David Mussler are buried between the Griffith and Gay family plots. Thanks. Kurt Mussler
