|Marley Brant||FREDERICK Friedli|
Hi, Would you know if the Frederick Friedli buried in Lincoln City, Oregon is originally from Solvay, New York? Thanks.

I have added his mother Alleen C Taylor-Bretz (Find A Grave Memorial# 143159807) in the system if you would please connect the two. I do not know how to do that.
If you have any questions for me please do not hesitate to ask.

Hello again. These are your David and Mary. The article I found for David and Mary's 55th wedding anniversary was dated 1907, and says they were married February 8, 1854. I added it to David's bio on his memorial page. I tried searching different spellings of the last name on newspapers.com for the year he died, 1911, but didn't come up with anything. The same for Mary, I didn't find an obituary for her in the year that she died, 1921, either.
BUT! For their daughter Mallie J., who is also listed on the stone, I did find an obit/death notice and funeral notice for her, for 1906, that I added to her bio. The article said she was the last of David and Mary's 5 children to pass. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters, all passed before their parents.
Maybe the person who engraved the name in the stone misspelled Roderick as Rodreick. I have come across some headstones with backwards and upside down letters...so, anything is possible.
I did find an 1870 Census with David and Mary, AND ALL FIVE children listed, living in Sedalia! I added the info to mother Mary's bio. In the 1870 Census, last name is spelled "Rodrick". So, if you are on ancestry.com, search "David Rodrick" for the 1870 Census.
I wont have time to do anything more until the weekend. I will definitely transfer David and Mary and daughter Mallie to you, but I'd like to see if I can find anything else before I send them your way. Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm not sure how many old cemeteries are in Sedalia, they are probably all hidden away and overgrown outside of town on private property :( . I appreciate you messaging me! There is the spelling of "Rodreick" and "Roddrick" on the stone, I went by the biggest spelling on the stone "Rodreick". Would you like a transfer of David, Mary, and their daughter M. J. Vanderbusch (not too sure on that last name)? There is another name on the stone but it is terrible worn to pull any names or dates from. I am right now adding a little more information as I find it. Found an article about David and Mary celebrating their 55th anniversary, and added it to David's bio. let me know if you would like transfers, or want any information added. Thanks!

A friend told me about this chance a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edits to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking.
|Terry Trackwell Kuhnau||Lorina or Nina Lenz|
I noticed that you have a listing for Alfred Lenz at Pacific View Memorial Gardens in Lincoln City, OR. His wife Nina died in 2011 and is supposed to be buried next to him. If you are at that cemetery would you consider photographing her grave and making a listing for her?
Thanks from a family friend, Terry
