I started researching my families a few years ago. Some old family pictures and my great-grandfather Jones' family Bible got me curious enough to start looking and asking questions about my family. Several years later I am still looking and asking. My primary family names of interest are Jones, Smithson, Cripps, Hathaway, Moser, Wood, Owen, & Elledge all at some time living in the Middle Tennessee area in Dekalb, Wilson, Cannon and Warren Counties. Find A Grave has become a great source for genealogy to me. I have made many new friends here and have met a lot of new cousins. I think we have gained a lot from each other in our family searches. I enjoy helping others and I hope the memorials I post somehow does help someone find a friend or relative, I know I have found many. Most of the time I will transfer any memorial as long as they are not in my direct family lines or closely connected to my family. Just ask and tell me how you are connected. The same applies to pictures. I find my pictures posted all over the internet, some make reference to the originator and some don't. I don't mind anyone using my pictures for personal use but it would be considerate to mention the person that made the effort to get out and make them. Although I am not a registered photo volunteer, I would be happy to try and locate and photograph headstones for anyone, just ask.|

May I have a transfer?

Greetings Mike. I have been reviewing some of your Driver and their spouse's memorials that you either created or administer. Just wanted to shout out GREAT JOB!!! I have researched, confirming data on your memorials and have found no errors. It is readily apparent that you are conscientious and diligent; your memorials are clean and sleek.
Thanks for being a member of our findagrave community! I, for one, appreciate your time and efforts in our behalf.
Please don't reply; it is not necessary. I just wanted to take a sec to say thank you :)

Thanks Mike, but how did you do that so fast!
At one time, Maudie Virginia Tittle Smith, my dad's mom was said to have been born to Sam Tittle (she was) and Sarah Houston Tittle. No, Sarah was born to William Lance and Sarah Miller Lance.
They are a big family. Have you seen the old Tittle farm where Sarah Lance Tittle lived and had 10 kids with Sam? He rushed out of there and remarried when she died. Had 12 more kids!
I spent some time with James Young Smith the other day. He was my aunt Vernie Smith Smithson's 1st cousin.
Hope your mom is okay.

I saw in your bio that Moser was in your line. I would love to see how we are connected. Martha was my 2x great grandmother on my mom's father's side. Permelia, "Fanny" as they called her, was my great grandmother. That part of the family is very large. There is a lot to research. Look forward to hearing from you.

So sorry to hear about your mom.

I know more about my ancestors from findagrave and face book than ancestry.com.
How are things?

Got a message on ancestry.com from firstname.lastname@example.org. Regarding the Smithsons!
Just wanting to pass the e-mail address on to you!

Its been a while that we connected. We will be going to TX next week. I am still working on our g-grandfather Thomas Jefferson Wood. I am hoping to locate where he is buried. Then we will be going to TN. I have never been to ether place. Are you from TN? I would like to go to Short Mt. where most of the family lived. Just wondering if you can point me in the right direction.
I couldn't find what I did with e-mail address. Mine is Bbarb1ed0ll@aol.com I will be waiting to hear from you.
