Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Donna. I live in upstate NY. I've been doing online genealogy for several years and I have to say, I'm addicted!

My sister and I have traveled to Swanton, VT to see in person and take pictures of the headstones of ancestors of that area. My grandmother, Grace Gladden, grew up in that area. Since I've been doing genealogy, I've officially traced my ancestry to the Mayflower, which I find to be quite exciting!

Doing ancestry to me is like putting together a big puzzle or trying to solve a mystery. The surnames I've been researching include Beland, Gladden, Camp, Aseltine, Knapp, Bridgman, Hurlbutt, Parks, Dixon, Claar, Brown, Hammond and Nagle to name a few.

RE: Eliza Jane Taylor Lane
Donna,

Sorry. . . somehow I posted the wrong picture to the wrong record, and sent the wrong message to you.

Although every thing I said is true, I could not find a headstone with the last name of "Lane" in Elk Cemetery. It could very well be that it is one that we could not read.

Let me know if you have other questions.

'Sorry about the screw-up.

Bruce

I added Caroline Conine Goodrich as his mother. Was Caroline married twice?

I have not been back to the cemetery at a time when I could get more pictures but hope to this fall. I was able to find this picture of the Sugar Bowl for you. This looks like it came from an old high school year book but I don't know what year it was. I'll let you know when I get the other pictures that you requested at the cemetery.

Absolutely, please use it. I will try to put the photo to the daughter's memorial as well. Best wishes with building your ancestry.
