Bio and Links
Bio Photo At the young age of 32, I have quickly become a very experienced genealogist. I absolutely love findagrave. In my opinion, findagrave is in the top 3 most important genealogy websites on the internet. I love traveling to visit cemeteries, and am willing to help anyone who asks. Some of my direct ancestors include: William Horace Hobson (1817-1867) of Fayette Co. TN, Rev. Robert Venable Taylor (1822-1919) of Fayette Co. TN, J.D.C. Stark (1819-1895) of Greene Co. OH, Samuel A. McDermott (1841-1897) of Knoxville TN, James White (1747-1821) founder of Knoxville TN, Woodard Bardin (1800-1867) of Wayne Co. NC, Daniel Alexander (1800-1852) of Russell Co. VA, Benjamin Dawson (1785-1850) of Kershaw Co. SC, William Hardy Hill (1821-1867) of Neshoba Co. MS, Eli Monroe Martin (1821-1874) of Hinds Co. MS, James Monroe Ayers (1852-1915) of Lafayette Co. MS, Capt. James Waldrop (1734-1799) of Newberry SC, Edward Hughes of Charleston SC, Gen. Joseph Hutton of Abbeville SC, Moses Peden (1787-1855) of Kemper Co. MS, John Thorne (1828-c1880) of Smith Co. MS, Joseph Posey (1805-1898) of Smith Co. MS.

Edwards Cemetery
There's a mistake in my earlier message-- it should be *Edwards Cemetery in Hinds County, MS* instead of Greenwood.

Hi Bobby,

I noticed that you created a record for two of my ancestors, Thomas Hickman Williams Barrett, # 92653414 and his wife Elizabeth Cannon Watts Barrett # 92653409.

I'm based in Washington, DC doing genealogy on my family and am trying to find either a photo of their gravestone or another written record documenting their death dates.

Can you tell me what resource you used to create the record on find a grave?

Thank you for sharing your expertise!

Best,
Amy

While I was not able to provide you with a headstone picture as requested, I was able to locate a death certificate. I hope this helps in your search.

Memorial Park Cemetery where the burial is supposed to be is an extremely large cemetery (41,000+ interments). Staff at the cemetery will only provide grave locations to family members. Please contact the office to obtain plot information and add it to the memorial page and/or your photo request, so the volunteer photographer can find the grave marker for you. The office can be reached at 901-767-8930 or 888-943-7275. Ask for Paul Campbell. Once you obtain this information, please resubmit your photo request.

Price, Hughes
Bobby Hobson, I noticed where on Aug 31, 2014, you made a request for a photo of headstone in Calvary Cemetery, Falls Co, Texas, of D. M. Price born 1822, died June 4, 1887. Also noticed in your bio for Findagrave that you indicated an ancestor Edward Hughes of Charleston, SC. I believe I am a descendant of this Edward Hughes.

James Fisher Hughes (1798-1853), had a daughter Louisa M. Hughes (1828 - ? ) who married Daniel M. Price, ad Daniel is believed to be buried in Calvary Cemetery, Falls Co, TX. I have a pretty good file on the James Fisher Hughes family.

I would love to hear from you about your findings on the Hughes Family. M. Perry, member #47148892, e-mail perrymb@lipan.net

Ruth E Peden Smith
Bobby,

I am trying to find roots for Robert Smith, Ruth's purported husband. I know that in the 1860 census he lived next to the Pedens with two small children. Ruth does not appear in either Givens' or Smith's census entry. Does Ruth's headstone say Smith or is she just buried in the Peden plot? Mystery!! Ruth is my gg great grandmother.

By the way, I'm located in Greenville, SC, and could track down any Pedens around here.

Best,

Jim Sturges
