I have always been interested in genealogy for as long as I can remember. I was blessed to have grown up near my grandmother, who happened to remember a lot of family names and stories. :) I credit my passion (or obsession to some...ha ha) as coming from her. I also happen to have a fondness for old cemeteries.|
I have no problem transferring memorials to people who ask. I like to document whole cemeteries, giving me a lot of memorials that I have no relation to. So feel free to ask! :) On a side note, please do not email me asking for detailed info about cemeteries (like who is buried there, etc.). I do not have any specific information on a cemetery, other than what you see on this website. I find some on a map, and some are stumbled upon by just driving down the road.
I also do not mind if someone would like to copy my gravestone pictures for their family trees. It would be nice to receive a credit mention where ever you might post the pictures...but at the same time, it won't hurt my feelings if I don't. The pictures I take are for the "greater good" and I take them, hoping that someone out there will find them...maybe they might even help someone piece together part of their family tree that's been a mystery! :)
My family names: Carlisle, Rosan, Lively, Burton, Mathis, Ussery, Miles, Hicks, Lavender, Gustin, Trill, Offerman, Ritter, Wabbena, Sternberg, Tekstra, Doescher, Atkins/Adkins, Paton/Payton, Robinson, Bonham, Cleavenger, Barnett, Crawford, Fuller, Russell, Halfacre (just to name a few!)

|R Chris Fee||RE: Lillie B. Ferguson Memorial #64917157|
Thank you for your careful attention to details! I appreciate your correction of Lillie B. Ferguson's birth and death dates. Her husband (Corp. James F. Ferguson, memorial # 64917090) was born 1845 in Uniontown, Union Co., Kentucky, and he died 28 June 1931 in Galatia, Saline Co., Illinois. Thank you for adding those dates. they are from the Ferguson Family Bible, so I believe them to be accurate.
I wish I could take over the care of these two memorials, but I must not take on more than I can handle. When my dear mother died, she left me 40 (yes 40!!!) banker's boxes of genealogical research notes to computerize. That was nearly 15 years ago and I still have about 8 boxes to go! Fortunately, I love genealogy as much as she did!
Thank you again! Sincerely, Eve Evans Fee (Mrs. R. Chris Fee)
Hi! I am a little confused by James and hoping you can help! I recently started working on this family for my friend. I came across a death certificate for James Lively dated 23 Sep 1917 in Hennepin, Minnesota listing what is transcribed as Nancy Atkins for mother and Couner Lively as father. I believe this is mistranscribed and is supposed to be Turner... Census records for this individual have him married to a Marie E. up until the 1880 census. in the 1900 census, James is widowed and living with his daughter Emma.
Additionally, I know that in one census, there is a James and Marie that have a Mary and Matthew, and that there is a grave with a Matthew having died as a child. Well this James and Marie have a Mary in subsequent censuses the exact same age along with other daughters.
I am wondering if you have ever looked into this? I think it is strange that this James has Turner and Nancy on his death certificate as well as Marie E as a wife and Mary as a daughter if it isn't him? Additionally, in every census he lists his parents as being born in South Carolina (father) and Kentucky (mother), which lines up with Turner and Nancy.
I would appreciate your thoughts! If you prefer, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
