|Richard Wesley||JAMES & CATHERINE BARRET|
Hello Anna!! My g.g. grandparents are Henry Evan Garden (1835-1906) and Mary Barret (1842-1926). both buried at Witten Cemetery. I was going through my Grandmother Garden's papers and photos which have been buried in a storage shed since 1995. I found a photo of Mary Barret Garden (which I will scan and post on her memorial) and on the back it states there is a monument for her father James Barret (who married Catherine Clark) in Sistersville, West Virginia. I checked out the cemeteries of Tyler County, but did not find a James Barret. In fact there are SEVERAL cemeteries on the Sistersville area....Do you have any idea where James' monument might be located?

I'll just send the message this way. I think there are too many anymore & they don't all get posted or it takes a long, long time....
Albert is in Newport Cem. in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio and Please, put a note on his memorial that there is NO TOMBSTONE left for him.

I see you are connected to Charles Dorsey Wells. I am trying to prove that my 5th Great Grandfather, Lakin Dorsey Wells is the son of Charles Dorsey Wells. Lakin and his siblings were born in Washington Co, PA. Lakin and his wife, Cynthia MOffit, were the First recorded marriage in Cadiz, Harrison Co, OH where Charles Dorsey is buried. Do you have any more information on Charles that might help me connect them as father and son?

I have recently been doing some research into the McCanna family, as my greatgrandmother was Sarah Annis McCanna, and I would like to correct some information for the above mentioned individual. You show one of his children as Lavina, born 1850. This is obviously incorrect, as Barnabas was born in 1845. In addition, Lavina is not his child, but his sister. They are both children of Barnabas McCanna, born 1804. My greatgrandmother was Sarah Annis McCanna, daughter of Martin McCanna, born 1803, brother of Barnabas, born 1804. Thank you for correcting this information.

Please accept my apology for being less than complete. The Mary Metcalf I referenced is Find A Grave Memorial# 92620962. She has a listed date of birth as 1777. The Mary I am seeking would coincide with the date of 1769 as you listed. Mary, who was a Claypool and married a Norris Metcalf, to have the 1769 date of birth she would need to have been a twin of her sister Jane as listed in their father's will. Thank you so much for your prompt reply and help.
