Susan Allen #16642790 Sir: In looking for my husband's ancestor who has the name Susan C. Allen, I came across this entry. It was placed by "Cemetery Haunter" and the message line to that person has been disabled. Your picture of the cemetery picture was placed on the record so that is why I am writing to you. I wrote to Crown Hill for information...just to make sure that wasn't the "Susan" I am looking for. The lovely person was 15 months old when she died...Who can I give other information to so this record can be updated. Who knows...maybe a descendant of this family is looking for information. I have the burial certificate and other information as to why Susan was moved.
Thank you in advance for all you do in helping us "sort out the past"!! Jean Allen
General Scott Horsley, Sr. Could you please remove the photo for General Scott Horsley, Sr. (1811-1883). The website isn't allowing me to request a photo for the headstone because it says that there is already a photo there, but the photo is of the cemetery entrance, and not the headstone.
Search for John Henry Grier lineage Good morning. My name is Adrian Russell, and I am a member of the Bethel Tabernacle Apostolic church - the church Elder John Henry founded in 1937 and built a new edifice in 1948! This church is located at 2002 Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue, in Indianapolis, Indiana. The street was first known as "Martindale Avenue."
Recently, we have began an effort to renovate this church and build a new addition on to the building some say Elder John Grier literally built himself. I am over the building and design for the project, and I am also a very appreciative of history and legacy. For some time, I have been trying to locate anyone in or even remotely tied to the family and legacy of Elder John Henry Grier - our founding Pastor and original visionary.
It would be awesome to celebrate this man and family in this process as our church reflects back on history to go forward. Original floor plans, early pictures of the church, at the church, the original building, construction of the building would be TREASURE. Please, I pray this message finds someone who can lead us in the right direction. You may email me any time at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Old Union Cemetery According to a list I saw at the Marion County Genealogical Society for this cemetery, it included some Avery's. I am looking for the graves of George Avery and his sons Solomon Avery & David Avery. George was not on the list I saw, but Solomon & David were. Have you come across any graves with that surname at the cemetery?
Oak Hill Cemetery, Indiana I wonder if I may have your permission to use your grave marker and/or cemetery photos on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.
