Hi there. I am a descendent on the Adam Whitehead branch. Adam's daughter Mary Ann married Samuel R. Miller. Their son Samuel Douglas married Ida Athaliah Hinebaugh. Their daughter Pearl was my paternal grandma. If you want the details on our branch I gladly share all I have. We have 6 generations of our family in the Winchester-Woodside communities here in northern Idaho. Patti Dill. or on Ancestry I am pattidill189

RE: Sussanah Whitehead Ulery
No, Mary's tombstone was not one of the ones that was moved. The was an "infant" Whitehead who died in 1913 who was in the middle of the new road and needed to be moved.

If interested, I can sent you a copy of the 1965 plot layout of the cemetery. It is a large TIF file.

RE: Sussanah Whitehead Ulery
Hi Martin,

Thanks for the information about the location of Mary Kemrie Whitehead's burial location. I have a copy of the cemetery plot map which the City of Dayton created when the Free Pike road was widened. As a result, they had to identify all of the graves in the cemetery before the bodies were dug up and reburied either in the Ft. McKinley cemetery or elsewhere.

The plot map lists a Mary Whitehead, but I had no idea exactly who this person was since no dates were listed. Buried next to her is an Amanda Whitehead. Is Amanda one of her children?

Your photograph of her tombstone is not very clear. Do you have a better photo you could post?

I can't delete her memorial either as it was transferred to you. If you can't delete, maybe you could put a note in that she is in fact buried elsewhere. Or contact Find A Grave and see if they can delete. This is not the first time I've found a headstone in one cemetery only to learn later that the person is actually buried elsewhere.

Thanks for all of the Whitehead information and pictures!
I have been researching my SMITH line on and off for several years. I have just started looking through the Find A Grave data and came across your Whitehead posts. I have the WHITEHEAD ancestor below.

from p 35/36 of the "Four Generations of the Immigrant Christian Rodabaugh" book:
"Valentine Jr married Mary Kemmerer (1780-1847) in 1800, probably in Westmoreland County. Valentine and Mary had twelve children, including:
(1) Elizabeth Whitehead, b. 1801, m. Mr. Smith, d. 1859"

The Mr SMITH listed is David SMITH, my 4th grandfather. He married Elizabeth WHITEHEAD on May 26, 1822.
