There is an article in the Brainerd Dispatch Brainerd, Minnesota that gives an account of her 80th birthday celebration. The article is in the edition of 27 December 1901, p. 2, c. 2. If you are interested, the newspaper can be found here.
|Michael Kagay||Armstrong - Powell|
Moses died in 1894. Wife Rhoda died in 1911.
That's 17 years apart.
That's probably enough time to change one's mind about a burial place. Especially if she had family in or near Ogles.
Surviving family might even have been the ones deciding the question.
Cheers, - Mike Kagay
|Michael Kagay||Moses Armstrong-Rhoda Powell|
Greetings and best wishes.
Still waiting for "Jefferson Township Cemeteries" from the Noble County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society so I can check their survey of burials at Ogles Cemetery.
In the meantime I looked more closely at their "Olive Township Cemetery Inscriptions" which I already had. The entry at Olive Cemetery for Moses Armstrong and his wife is suggestive: while it gives birth and death dates for Moses, it gives only birthdate for Rhoda. That suggests the possibility that she is not buried there.
Perhaps she outlived Moses by many years and is buried elsewhere, such as at Ogles.
Hope to solve this mystery soon.
Cheers, - Mike Kagay, Princeton, NJ
|Judith Sachs||Anna Coleman|
I don't know if the memorial number came across with my first message. Memorial# 24845673
|Judith Sachs||death year|
Could you please verify the year of Anna Lucretia Lerch Coleman's death? The 1940 census shows her and James alive on April 11, 1940. Is there a headstone for her?
Thank you, Judy Sachs

Hello Pamela - think we've chatted before, so thought I'd ask to see if you knew what Methodist Cem would be near Beatty's Knob (in 1860s) in Noble Co.?
