RE: Adelia Vertner And John Brittin photos
If you look at John's photo on his memorial page there is a bush to the right of John's stone & William is on the other side of the bush. I usually get family plot photo's when I can but for some reason I just didn't do it. Probably the heat had something to do with it, I had been out there for about 5 hrs. & ended up with blisters on the bottom of my feet.
Sorry :(

They were hiding very well, this was my 3rd time to Woodlawn looking for them.
There was also another stone with theirs belonging to:
Wm. H. Brittin
Sept. 15, 1822 - May 3, 1891

You can make up his memorial page if you'd like.

RE: Jessie Ann Carter Smith
Hello,

Yes I am a relative. I am the grand-daughter of Melvin C Carter, Jessie's brother. I received this picture of Jessie's family when my mother passed away. Melvin was her father. If I find any more images of Jessie I will post them.

Correction requests for Barnes and Earp
Hi Les,

Just curious what your source is for their exact death dates. Bible record, obit, etc.

Thanks,

Christa

Jeremiah & Nancy Barnes' gravestone
I am sorry but there are not gravestones for Jeremiah or Nancy Barnes in the Saratoga Cemetery. It is likely that they are buried in unmarked graves.

There are Barnes' gravestones in the cemetery. The oldest two belong to James C. Barnes 1867 -1967 and Ellen Barnes 1880 - 1963.

Thomas Jewett
I meant to say that this stone is prominently placed as the first stone in a section near the cemetery office. There is at least one other Jewett stone there, currently hidden by a fir tree. Believe it said Thomas Frederick Jewett, but did not get a photo. These stones were moved to Park Lawn, which is the modern cemetery in the area. The Jewett house still stands, now a business property on the road to Pownal.
