Have been working on my family history/genealogy since 1998 (when I retired). Like 99.9% of others wanting to know "where they came from", I wish I had started many years earlier when there were some family ancestors still alive.

RE: Jim and Henry Keene

Sorry to be so long in replying.

Well I haven't found a William M Price from Alabama as of yet. My Prices start in Virginia, some move to South Carolina and some to Kentucky and then they mostly end up in Mississippi. Then it seems that a lot of folks went from MS to Louisiana. My grandparents, James Thomas Price and Ellen Givens Price moved there in the early part of the 20th century, but they moved back. They went to work in the logging industry I believe.

I've been spending a lot of time on the Givens side of my family but hope to get back to the Prices soon. I do have a lot of family on the Givens side that were in Cathoula Parish (and many other Parishes as well). Would you like an invitation to view my Ancestry tree? I would need your email to issue one.

Happy Hunting.

RE: C. Holt Richardson
In the 1850 census he is listed as Holt Richardson.

Here is the link from Ancestry where I connected it all:

My son is barely related like this:

C. Holt Richardson & Catherine Stockman
Daughter: Sarah Richardson (1st wife) of Bernard McGurk

Bernard McGurk & Katie Richardson(2nd wife)(Not sure if the two wives were related, trying to solve that riddle)
Daughter: Nellie Rowena McGurk

Nellie McGurk & Reverend Glen Murray Mclain (my son's Great-Great-Grandfather)

RE: Jim and Henry Keene
You're welcome. I wonder if we are somehow related. My lines are Price and Givens from Mississippi.

RE: Donald Callen
I got to meet him a couple of years ago when they were visiting in Louisiana. It was fun.

William C & Lydia Rachel Ford
These two are not husband and wife. They are brother and sister.
Their parents are John Winchester Ford (29429765)
and Martha Neal Ford (29429744).
Thanks Tom Carlile

Thank you for everything!
Thank you so very much for all the incredible amount of work you do for Find A Grave. Between you, Rob Minter, Karen Klemm Pinckard, and Ron Manley, I wouldn't have near as much wonderful information in my ancestry search for my kin from Louisiana! I run across your name all the time on a huge part of the memorials for my kin - be it that you created the memorial, or uploaded photos. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will try to do justice to any of the memorials of my kin that you have and will end up transferring to me in the future. Thanks again!
