I am still new to the whole genealogy thing. I have only been doing for about 15 years. I am hoping that my children will continue the search.|
My Paternal Great Grand father and Mother came from Scotland (but met in Illinois) and my Maternal Family is from Connecticut from the 1652ish. I am in the St. Louis, MO area.
I am working on the Stewart, Robertson, Sage and English Families currently.
Photography is relaxing for me...so I take photos and add them. There is cemetery that I am working on that across the street from my children's school. If you want one of my photos, that is fine, it would be nice to get credit.
Just another twig in the tree.

Thank you for all your work. Can the cemetery tell me if there was a marker and may have just deteriorated? Or if it was a ground marker, maybe covered up with dirt? I'm surprised there isn't one for him. Since he was the patriarch of the family. Probably couldn't afford it. Again, thanks Kathie for your help. Happy Holidays. Rosemary (Florian's granddaughter)

Kathie; Thank you for posting the photo to Find A Grave. I have submitted an edit for the lst name based on the stone's spelling of Dimick. I am doing a research project on the Dimick families in North America. There are variant spellings. This Horace E Dimick was a prominent gunsmith in St Louis. It appears from my research he didn't favor either side during the Civil war as his guns were used by both Georgia troops and the 66th Illinois Sharpshooters. Thank you again especially the notation with the photo.
Thank you so much for looking for there gravestones.. At least I now know they are unmarked.. I appreciate your efforts especially in this cold weather, brrrrrr!!! I hope you have a Merry Christmas!!! And again thank you so much!!!
