Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am still new to the whole genealogy thing. I have only been doing for about 15 years. I am hoping that my children will continue the search.

My Paternal Great Grand father and Mother came from Scotland (but met in Illinois) and my Maternal Family is from Connecticut from the 1652ish. I am in the St. Louis, MO area.

I am working on the Stewart, Robertson, Sage and English Families currently.

Photography is relaxing for I take photos and add them. There is cemetery that I am working on that across the street from my children's school. If you want one of my photos, that is fine, but I do want credit. I however would prefer that they are not added to Ancestry. It is more that you might credit me, but the person that acquires it from you might not.

PLEASE -Turn on your messages. You are missing out on A LOT of info that people may want to share with you.

Please remember, when you start researching a new geographic area, that those living in the area, probably know more than you, but there are some that don't. Like St. Louis City and St. Louis County are very separate, but very connected. Please look at an actual map that has city and county boarders, that is dated for that era, NOT a current map. For example, much of what is warehouses now by river, used to be housing.

Thank you.

Just another twig in the tree.

RE: Frank's obit
Thank you very much. Did you find this in an online newspaper site? I'd like to try to find his Mother Mary's obit.

Thanks so much. Based on the info you provided, I was able to obtain information about his mother. I didn't have any of that info and some of her family are there as well. You have helped my research in that line quite a bit. Thank you again! :)

RE: Thank you!

She did not die in St. Louis, but in Chicago. On her death certificate, it was listed that she was sent to St. Louis for burial. There is a listing for a Mary Walters at Cavalry Cemetery that matches her date of death:
Birth: unknown
Death: Jul., 1931

Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum
Saint Louis
St. Louis City
Missouri, USA

If you could find a obit, it would likely list her family. That would be tremendously helpful!

Her name was Mary "Mamie" Coleman Walters. Her husband was George Walters, daughter Virginia Patrica Walters Sheehan. I believe her parents were Martin and Annie Walters and siblings Anne Agnes Cole, Margaret Bergeron and Martin Coleman. Date of death was July 20, 1931. Thank you!
