Bio and Links
Bio Photo We completed a survey of all known cemeteries in McMinn County plus transcribed McMinn County death certificates from 1914-1955.
Surnames we are reseaching: Marvin's lineage = Templin, Click, Bryant, Sisk, Smith, Waddell, Gross. Samme's lineage = Carpenter, Simpson, Hutsell, Julian, Warren
Whenever we go out to fill a request, we try to take photos of a few of the surrounding burials. Never know when you might help someone find a lost relative. We also take tombstone pictures of any veterans we see, as we try to honor ALL VETERANS regardless of when they served.
A big "THANK YOU" to all the Find-A-Grave volunteers who have taken tombstone pictures for us.
Our latest project is helping FAG member Tom Brocher (#47674416) upload tombstone pictures for Golden Gate National Cemetery. Always glad to honor our veterans.
When asking for a memorial transfer, PLEASE use "Edit" then "Suggest A Correction" instead of posting message here. Thanks

Robert Smith transfer
Thank you so much for the transfer--I rearranged the obit a bit, but was happy to have it as a source. I simply found myself respecting him a lot.

LI National Cemetery Transfer
Hi Marvin and Samme,

Would it be possible to transfer the memorial to me for Edward William Rode (Memorial# 82596334) at the LI National Cemetery? He was my great-uncle.

Thank you for linking Carl Brookman to his parents. And CHEERS to you and your husband for the Find a Grave work you are doing.

Jacob and Marie Miller, buried at Jefferson Barracks
After more research I am 99.99% that I have the right Marie I was looking for. I checked the census records for 1900 and the birth month matches. Family sources have also told me that her husband was a druggist. I found information for them on the 1940 census, owning his own drug store, and on his draft registration for WWI it list him as working at Drug store in St Louis. (Good's Drugstore, corner of Jefferson and Olive)
Marie J Schiemer Miller. Born Monroe County, Illinois to Charles Schiemer and Kunigunda Riebeling.
Jacob Miller is the son of George Miller and Agnes Keller. Jacob was born in New Berlin, Illinois.
