I am always so saddened when I post a child's memorial, my heart would go out to the parents and I would think, that has to be the most unbearable pain in the world. Unfortunately, on July 6th, 2012, I experienced that heart breaking pain, when I lost my son, Mark Allen Israels, II. No parent should out live their child.|
I want to thank everyone who has sent me thanks and kind remarks through emails and on my contributor page.
I believe that the majority of us contribute because of our love of helping others. I find great reward knowing that I have helped someone because of a memorial I posted. Not everyone knows where their ancestors are buried, or even what happened to them, so sometimes a stranger in the only person who can post the memorial and hopefully a loved one will find it. I do what I do because I love helping others. I have never hestiated to transfer a memorial over to anyone who has asked, or if I see that after I posted a memorial a family member left flowers, I transfer that memorial to them without being asked. I believe in sharing and giving.
I try very hard to make any corrections as soon as possible, and I do apologize if it takes me a week, but in between working full time and family I can't always get to them right away.
When I find an obituary where there is no known survivors, I feel by making a memorial for them, they are remembered, and isn't that what this is all about, so what if I didn't know them, they once were and should be remembered.
I enjoy working with my Southern Nevada findagrave buddy Nevada Bob and one of my newest buddies Eileen.

This is to request a transfer of the aboved two graves to me. Memorial # 30944454 & 30944477.
Eva Josephine Dupont Reeves, Memorial # 96293957, sister and child of the above, is buried in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery next to her brother and mother. I was recently informed that her marker has been stolen. I created her memorial last year (2012).
The three Duponts were maternal grandmother, uncle and aunt to my late husband. I appreciate you creating the memorial on October 28,2008.
Sincerely, Dorothy Eckert

Thank you, Bernice, for your generous transfer of the memorial of Father Zavbi to my care.
May your holidays be filled with love,
Hi, Mark's Mom,
I hope you are healing well, although the feeling of loss of our loved ones remains with all of us.
Memorial #24310908 August Zavbi, was the pastor at St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral (we attended the attached School in Reno NV when my family was going through difficult times, and he was very good to us.) His Yugoslav accent reminded us oddly enough of the Northern Italian accent of our father.
I looked for and found that you created a memorial for him. It makes me sad to see that there is very little info about Father Zavbi. I have his obituary which I think includes a photo. I was wondering if you would be so kind as to transfer his memorial to me so I can post it?
Like our father, he died far from the place where he was born.
May God bless you,
Noticed the transfers yesterday afternoon and am just sitting down today to work on them. No, no, when I'm done I'll transfer back to you -- you did all the hard work of finding and adding. Some (most) I just added the actual article, and if o.k. with you, I'm just going to leave and not type the obit. I don't seem to do as clean a job of copying as you, but I think they're o.k.
Love finding the obits -- some not so great on the bio info, but I do like adding the mentioned family members for some further researchers use. And am very pleased to have the easy back and forth between you and I to get the info added. I'm finding that I enjoy the newspaper searches for info more than adding memorials right now. So love highlighting our Northern Nevada pioneers.

I see you posted a picture. Where did you find this? I have an aunt that was married to an Eugene E. McCarthy with the same birth day. I lost his trail after 1942 and his wife died (1948). I think this may be the same person who may have remarried to Ruth Ann. Just wondering what else you know about him assuming if you have his picture you have other information. Thanks.
|AAW||Squire Tom & Mary Washburn|
George Dewey Washburn, the son of Mary #13361918 and Squire Thomas Washburn #13361715 was my step-grandfather, so that technically makes them my step great-grandparents. My mother knew them and many of George's siblings. Could you transfer them to me #48224322. I would like to get as many of their children linked up to their memorials as possible.

I think I told you I had found an obit for Sam Stanaway, thus the transfer. Well, I evidently didn't save it correctly, so I'm perusing the papers again. If I don't find it, I'll be transferring him back to you sans obit....
