RE: Edward Franklin
I find nothing for Elizabeth after her marriage to Edward Franklin. She is not buried in the Franklin Cemetery, only Edward & his first wife.

RE: Edward Franklin
Edward married Elizabeth Midkiff Adkins on 4 Oct 1866 after his wife died in 1863. Elizabeth was only 31 when they married and he died in 1878. I don't know when she died or if she re-married, but probably did since she was still young.
Do you know when Elizabeth died? Did she re-marry?

Good evening,
I wondered if you would know who Sally Oxley's parents were.
Thanks so much,
Sheila :)

Smile; same here - glad to meet you. Cousins are a blessing from the Lord for our old age when most or all of our nuclear family is gone. If it weren't for online cousins, I wouldn't have any family at all (except for my husband & children for whom I am grateful)

William Riley Boling was my grandfather Horatio Seymour Boling's brother. So I guess Beatrice and my Mother Goldie May Boling Stanley would be first cousins.

Thank you so much for connecting this family. Isn't Find A Grave wonderful?

Hi there. Do you descend through John H Hensley and Virginia Burdette? I descend through John's brother Norris, and the woman Norris married's grandmother was a Burdett. I also believe Virginia's mother was a Chittum, which would be the name of the second wife of Norris's father.

Hello Ms Robin,

Yes, I believe she is my 3rd great-grandmother on my maternal line. That would make her a member of the mtDNA subgroup T2b15. I am related through her daughter Martha. It seems to be that my mother's side of the family was content to stay in West Virginia until my grand-father's generation.
I have been searching for other maternal descendants. I hope to be able to find links to the other T2b15 lineages, but no luck yet. So far all T2b15 lineages are southern with paper trails that disappear in the colonial period (or more recently).
