|Have been compiling the Leedy Family genealogy since 1981. The database for the family now includes over 76,600 descendants/marriage connections for the Swiss immigrant Johannes (John) Lidi~Leedy (c1715-1760) and his wife Mary Elizabeth, from Bernsoberland. This collection includes several thousand photos for the family. The original Leedy family consisted of 8 known children having lived to maturity, of which we now have living descendants collected for 5 branches to present day. The branches moved into the areas of central PA and NE OH (Jacob Leedy-i); Robertson and Davidson Co.s, TN (Johanna Jacobina Leedy Binkley); central OH and Kosciousko Co., IN (Abraham Leedy-I); Rockingham/Augusta Cos., VA and Huntington/Wabash Co.s, IN (Samuel Leedy-i); Wythe/Bland Co.s, VA, NE TN, Champaign Co., IL and Pike/Elliott Co.s, KY (John Leedy-ii).|

|D. Larocque||Catherine Pool|
Hello Jim! I am doing some research for a descendant whose great grandmother was a Leedy.
For some reason, I cannot find the parents of the wife of James Pemberton Leedy, Catherine (Pool) Leedy Argo. She is listed as born in South Carolina in 1810. I have tried every way possible to figure it out- Scioto County, OH, Greenup County, KY, Lewis County, KY, still nothing... any help would be appreciated!
|Alan B.||Jacob Leedy (d.1861)|
I am almost done writing a book about a man named Harvey Devoe. He kept a diary in 1861, and mentions the death of Jacob Leedy, and later going to an auction of his estate. In my book, I would like to reproduce the picture of Jacob Leedy's tombstone on 'find-a-grave.' I might also reproduce his portrait and/or the picture of his farm.
My publisher says I need your formal permission to reproduce them. Is that okay with you?

|Crystal Bilyeu||Thank You!|
Thank you SO much for all the work and time you have spent on the Leedy family history....AND for sharing it on findagrave!
I am a descendant of Susan Leedy and Henry Myers,, on my Mother's side.
Growing up we had no knowledge of this wonderful family and I only recently discovered all you have shared, it is a real gift to all our family, and I have already begun sharing it with my children.
With deep gratitude,
Crystal Sifert Bilyeu

Thank you for all the work you have done on Find A Grave. I am related thru the Leedy family in Wythe County Va. The work you have done has helped very much.
|Angela Whitaker-Becker||Harv Leedy|
Would you consider transferring Harv Leedy to my care? He was a paternal great grandfather to me.

I hope this message finds you doing well. Thank you for all the work you have done to document the Leedy Family history. My dad, Eugene Richard Leedy, had the upmost respect and admiration for you and the work you do.
I recall dad mentioning that we are part Native American...possibly decending from Sitting Bull. I could be getting mom's herritage mixed with dad's.
I'd appreciate if you could clarify this, providing the family member link and the tribe name.
|John Bracchi||Sarah/Sally/Salome (Brallier) Leedy|
I'm tied to the Leedys here and there and am poking around and, while looking at Sarah's Find A Grave page, I see that she must have had 2 mothers:
"Sarah Brallier also known as Sarah (and sometimes called Sally), was the daughter of Samuel & Christina (Brumbaugh) Brallier.
She moved from Pennsylvania with her mother Anna Marie (Mock) Garber Brallier"
Wondering which really was her mother--Christina or Anna Marie.
I'm trying to go back a bit farther and tie some Bralliers together who married Leedys.

I found and photographed Leedy cemetery today and linked Isaiah and Rebecca, children of Abraham A. and Elizabeth, to their parents. I also requested an edit to link their sister Mahala to the family. Thought you might like to take a look!
