|Jackie Rogers||Ethel H. Hillman|
Family records say she was born in 1892, but the tombstone does say 1899. The tombstone is probably right. Her full name was Ethel Lippencott Haines and she married 17 March 1917 at Haddonfield, Camden Co., New Jersey, Clarence Washington Hillman which had the same birthday of 26 Feb as Ethel. The 1920 census show no children, but she could have had one. My problem is I cannot find a living child. Clarence does not show in in the 1930 or 1940 census. He died in 1961 and is buried with his second wife, Nellie.
Ethel parents were William Roger Haines and Charlotte Jane Wilkins. Charlotte died when Ethel was two years old. She had one sister, Reba Elizabeth Haines.
Jackie Rogers, I am 5th cousin 1x removed from Ethel. I am a family genealogist.
Thank you Clara for updating his memorial so quickly, much appreciated.

Clara thanks so much for the cemetery pic on Patti`s grave. Appreciate all you do.
Hi Clara, Roderick's brother Evander is my husbands 5th great grandfather.
|Moreen Jensen||RE: Stella Wells etc.|
Thanks so much on the Stella Wells info, she was Lettie's mother. Also thanks for the heads up on the NY site, I haven't had a chance to search that yet but will. I've had the hardest time since we have no idea what last name Lettie was using when she passed away. It is my understanding that she was being stalked by her latest husband and running.... What a life, I feel terrible for her. I also sent letters to people who I thought may be distant relatives of hers in the Syoset, NY area but no luck. Can you think of anything I'm missing?? At this point I just want to find a grave location.
|Gale Olsson McHale||Ernest Carlton Scobell|
I was looking for another headstone in the same vicinity as the Scobells at Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, NY and guess who I found? Ernest is a few rows behind them which is not the same plot but directly in line with them. I added his photo and updated the caption on the family plot one so I think you're all set!
|Jean Smith||RE: Roderick McIver|
Thanks, Clara! Not sure if I am kin or not. There is a book called "History of the Old Cheraws" by Alexander Gregg which also lists the death date as March 1768. I do not know what Gregg's source for the info was. I'll keep looking and see if I can find an actual date of probate for the will.
|Jean Smith||Roderick McIver|
The entry for Roderick McIver (# 36092441) shows a date of death of 1768 and shows three children: Evander, Catherine, and John. Is this the same Roderick McIver whose will was executed in 1772 and lists Evander, Catherine, and John as his children? This will is recorded in Charleston County, SC Will Book 1776-1784, Page 175. I don't know the date of recordation but a transcription of the will is available here:
If this is the same person, it seems his death date would have to be 1772 or later and probably somewhere in the 1776-1784 range.

Thank you so much I will look into that.
|Moreen Jensen||Joseph Wells|
Hello. I am currently searching for a burial place for a Lettie Jane Wells whom I believe may have been a niece for Joseph Wells. She died in 1969 or 1970 I believe in NY. Her mother was Stella and father Joshua. Since Joseph didn't pass away until 1975 am wondering if he knew or if some of his relatives may know.
