your Louisa L. Rood note see findagrave #15797608. Louisa is actually buried in the original Pioneer Cemetery, adjacent to Forest Hill and where George's parents are, too. I did a little research on this family and will share if you're very brave; email me if interested.
RE: Upper Macopin Cemetery Hi Ellen..Thank you for your message. You are very welcome! So many people have taken photos for me I had to pay it forward! My husband thinks I am crazy, but helped me try to locate the cemetery so I could fill someone else's photo request. We tried in the early Fall, but no luck. With some help from Lois (she made the request) we were better able to locate the correct area and then waited for the leaves to fall, then had no trouble locating the headstones. The cemetery property is in a wooded area, but you can access it from the road. We were sad to see the condition of the cemetery area- it is very overgrown and several of the headstones have fallen over and many are no longer legible. So I decided to take photos of everything we could find and post them. I am so happy you were able to find members of your family:) and I enjoyed your photos on Ancestry :)Have a great day! dee
RE: Mott family in Stanton TX You are very welcome. I am glad my photos help families out there. I am happy to transfer any memorials to family members as well if you are interested. I just go to the cemetery and click away and take hundreds of photos at a time and add them to the site. I haven't done it in a year or so I have been busy with other things. But glad when my photos help others and happy to transfer! Michelle
