I currently am retired in The Villages, Florida with my wife, Sandra (Chandler). Sandy and I both were born and grew up in the Boston, MA area. We then spent 20 years in the US Air Force, traveling all over. |
I have been working on my Family Tree for going on 40 years. Most of our family is from the New England area and into Canada (Quebec and the Eastern Provinces).
***I have a NEW tree on Ancestry.com (APerkins Big Tree) under apgentree. This tree is synchronized to my Family Tree Maker file off- line, so it should now have all my current information.***
I am trying to get most of our relatives on Find-A-Grave. If I can be of help to anyone, please feel free to contact me about mutual ancestors. I also appreciate any corrections to my memorials or pictures of any of my ancestors that you would be willing to share. Thanks.

|David Wilfert||Manoah Hurd|
Manoah Hurd is my 2nd Great Grandfather. I have spent countless hours looking for Manoah's grave. I have been to the Carver Union Cemetery many times and haven't found him or any other Hurds. I did find the graves of some Stringers there.
There is a Union cemetery in Brockton, Ma. I have also spent many hours searching for Manoah in the Union Cemetery in Brockton with no luck. It is a fairly large cemetery and I haven't been through it completely. I did find some Hurds there but not Manoah.

|Morgan ||Manoah hurd|
Manoah is my ( 2nd great grandfather ?) I am fairly new to this so forgive me if i am wrong in the terminology. His Grandson, Robert Hurd (1901-1959), is my grandfather. I could put you in touch with Roberts daughter ( my mother ) as luck would have it, she is alive and well and lives in Lady Lake, just outside the villages, in the Water Oaks community.

Go ahead and use. It has been used by a number of other people already. This picture was quite a find for me. It was passed down through the Thomas Hurd family, my second great grandfather, who was Manoah's brother.

Thank you for making the links to Edward Mitchell's parents. I got about a dozen copies of the SAC I sent you, I hope that didn't happen on your end as well. If it did, I apologize, don't know how that happened.
Thank you, Chris S
|Meg Reid||Manoah Hurd|
Hello! Hoping you can help us. Manoah is my 3rd great grandfather. I have his death certificate which has his place of burial as Union Cematary in Brockton, MA where he was living at the time. (28 Boucher Ave to be precise, which later had a street name change to Hillcrest in 1916, and was still in our family as late as 2000 when Russell Hurd died).
The question.. there is no Union Cematary in Brockton but there is the one in Carver where everyone else in my family is buried. Unfortunately, I am now on the west coast and my Uncle Gerry who I research with is in Florida. Neither of us can go to Union and confirm.
Do you have confirmation, i.e. personal knowledge or photo, to confirm that Manoah is buried in Carver?
Thank you so much for any assistance in this little mystery!

|Susan Buce||Photos of Henry K.W. Perkins|
I am a historian in The Dalles, Oregon, and next year, March 22, 2013 is the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Wascopam Methodist Mission by Rev. Henry K.W. Perkins and Rev. Daniel Lee. This was the beginning of our town, and is a significant historic event in this region. I am wondering if you are aware of any photos or drawings of Henry Perkins that might exist? I've got one of Lee, but I've not been able to find any of Perkins. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
