Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I am Cindy Elschide. I began doing genealogy in 2000. Since then I have expanded my family tree in one place back to 1080 and in others several generations also. I started out with just a few names and now my house is over run with (about 30) 3 inch binders and tubs of papers, folders and pictures etc. I always say I get more fun going to a cemetery and finding an ancester's grave than most people do going to an amusement park and riding the roller coaster.
My husband & I have been known to center a vacation around cemeteries, libraries and courthouses. With visits with family and a little bit of site seeing thrown in.
My father's line includes Brooks & Haybron(southern Ohio); Gandee, Harper, Shafer or Shaver, Tanner, Hinzman, Raines and more (West Virginia); the famous Indian Scout Jesse Hughes who has many things written about his life; and I am cousins with Presidents Washington and Herbert Hoover.
My Mother's line includes Collard (originally from Belgium), Curwick, Kerouac (Jack Kerouac, the author and including being related to Madonna and Celine Dion); Newells' from Cambridgeshire England and Snows from East Riding Yorkshire England; Brownfields, Sallee's & Cox from Ohio, and other places of ancestors are Netherlands, France, Italy and more.
My husband's line includes Peter Kappis/Cavis a Germany Mercenary in the Revolutionary War; Peter's son who was the Engineer for the John Bull Train which currently sits in the Smithsonian in Washington DC; Ehlschides from Germany; His grandmother Helen Robertson was born in Scotland (her grandfather died while building the Firth of Forth Bridge) and his grandfather (Gerald McCann)was descended from Irish (Boyle and Corbett)who fled the potato famine to come to Canada.
I had visited the Find a Grave site before but just recently realised that I should have been adding to it--a long time ago! I find it has brought great enjoyment to me to share the photos I take with everyone on the web in hopes that they help others.

Cynthia Mills Peet UPDATE
George T. Peet, s/o Walter & Cynthia Sarah (Mills) Peet, b. 10-04-1892, d. 06-07-1914 was interred in 1N 656:4. This space, as well as the adjacent space 1N 656:5, was purchased by Fred Peet in 1914. The second space (656:5) does not indicate an interment, but was purchased many years after Cynthia's passing.

RE: Cynthia Mills Peet
Good Morning, Although Daryl Marshall has created a Find A Grave Memorial for Cynthia, Mound Hill Cemetery Records do not indicate that she was interred in the cemetery.

Gould / Brooks

I was able to find the location for David Eugene Gould Jr. He did not have an actual marker, but his initials. I posted a photo that shows his burial location and one that shows his parents markers in relation to his place of burial.
I was also able to find Christopher "Clum" Columbus Brooks and Ethel Marie Perry Brooks.
Once you create the memorials for them let me know and I will post the photos.

RE: Addie Gould
I have posted the photo. I will look around some more when I am back in the cemetery and see if I can find any of the markers you have asked about.

RE: Addie Gould
You are very welcome. Her husband David is buried next to her. I don't see a memorial for him. If you would like to make a memorial for him I will post the photo. The dates listed on the marker are Born: Aug. 25, 1946 and Died: Oct. 23, 1997. I believe is says 1997, you can verify after I post the photo for you. Please let me know if and when the memorial is created so I can post the photo. Thanks
