"Freedom is not Free"|
I am honored to create memorials for our WW2, Korean, and Vietnam war dead.
I am presently working on creating virtual cemeteries for every US WWII Infantry Division.
The Cost of Freedom:
American War and Military Operations
WW2 US Army Battle Deaths: 291,557
WW2 US Marine Corps Battle Deaths: 19,733
US Navy Battle Deaths: 36,950
Korean War US Army Battle Casualties: 29,856
Korean War US Marine Corps Battle Casualties: 4,509
Korean War US Navy Battle Casualties: 657
Korean War US Air Force Battle Casualties: 4,509
Vietnam War US Army Battle Casualties: 38,224
Vietnam War US Marine Corps Battle Casualties: 14,844
Vietnam War US Navy Battle Casualties: 2,566
Vietnam War US Air Force Battle Casualties: 2,586
Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz:
"They fought together as brothers in arms; they died together and now they sleep side by side...To them, we have a solemn obligation — the obligation to ensure that their sacrifice will help make this a better and safer world in which to live."
In 2013 I completed a five year project traveling to Hawaii annually from the mainland to photograph headstones for all of our WW2 dead at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. I have added over 10,000 photos to memorials at the cemetery. Prior to 2008, few of the memorials had a headstone photo.

|Gracie Ann Matisyn||RE: Thank you|
Since you are creating virtual cemeteries for WWII groups, I was wondering if you'd included my uncle,
Joseph Bowman of Philadelphia in that group. He served through Europe with Pattons army. Not sure what regiment or division. He also had a cousin should was killed during the lull after the failed assault on the Siegfried line who is now buried in Luxembourg.
Card can be removed

Thank you for mentioning my brother Neil Mauro Palumbo. He was killed in the Philippines on March 14, 1945 3 weeks after I was born. I want to add his photo but I am having a problem with that. Keep up your good work. Thank you, Rosemary Palumbo-Quinn

Thank you for posting a memorial for my relative Victor H. Jones. I was wondering if it would be possible that this memorial could be transferred over to me;since I am his 2nd cousin 2x removed.
