|Jennifer Janzer||RE: Majchrowicz photos|
You are welcome. Actually I'm working on documenting that entire cemetery. I had taken those photos over the summer.
If you need additional photos for people buried in the Catholic cemeteries in Racine, WI, feel free to contact me.
|Maureen||RE: A. Sheridan|
I don't know if I sent a thank you reply or not... but thank you for the information on the aspen grove cemetery in Iowa. Have a Merry Christmas.

|Terisu||Photo for Olive Lillian Johnson|
Thank you very much for the photo! Did you take note of other graves near her? Her parents are buried there. John Warren Johnson and Ella Sue Johnson. They are my great-grandparents. I remember my grandmother talking about her sister Olive who died young. Oh and may I use Olive's picture on her Ancestry page? Thanks again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to research the grave for the photo. I appreciate your time and effort.
Thank you so much for all the pictures you took at Aspen Grove Cemetery for me. I know it must have taken forever with how big the cemetery is.
all the pictures have really helped.
|Wm & SJ. Donath||Benjimin Short|
I have James W. Short married to Rachel E. Cartwright and James W. Short born May 3, 1949 and buried at Trinity cemetery; Rachel Elizabeth Cartwright was born 21 Feb 1852 Augusta, Iowa, and died 17 Sep 1931 also at Trinity Cemetery near Mt. Union, Iowa--4 graves there together. Per the obituary on Rachel which I will put up one way or another, there were 3 girls. The children were Lizzie May Short born 27 Nov 1873 and died 6 Aug 1896 at Trinity, and Laura Bell Short born 14 Sep 1871 and married a Frank Cox and in 1931 was living in New London. They had 3 daughters born one might have died in 6 Mar 1891 BUT at the moment I need to go back to the Census and check that it was Laura married to Frank Cox and in Mt. Union in 1931 or she was the one that died in 1891. You can check that too. I will put up Rachel's obit.
I have George Short born 2 Feb 1820 in Ohio and married to Rachel S. Walker born 23 Oct 1824 in Ohio or Ind. Married 18 Jun 1843 in Des Moines Co., Iowa (Recorded) and they had Matilda Short 26 May 1844 married to Henry Holland born 25 Feb 1845 both buried in Mongomery Co., Iowa ---they had 3 girls so far as I have found.
Benjimin Short married to Susan "Samantha" Zigler
James W. Short married to Rachel E.Cartwright
George Wesley Short married to Nellie Crocker--mine
Horatio Walker Short 22 Sep 1858 married to Caroline Nelson. He appears to have died in Mar 1940 in Henry Co., Iowa.
AND Mary Short born 2 Mar 1867 married to Edgar Willard. She died in 22 Jan 1917 in Des Moines Co. I need to find more obits.
I have Ben Short and Elizabeth the parents of George and a Thomas W. Short Born in 1829 and died 9n 1866 (Both this Ben and son, Thomas buried at Shiloh/Avery cemetery. I have nothing back any further as I haven't really tried to go back. In contact with a granddaughter of George and Nettie Crocker who sent me a family history someone researched at the courthouse. I don't think they went back further either.
I will put up the obits that I have either thru you or scanned as a picture at Find A Grave.
I known there were other Shorts in Burlington, but I haven't gotten the obits to determine who all they were and the parentage. Sort of a side family that I have done some work on.

Thank you so much for finding that stone--when I looked I could not find it but I must have been in the wrong area. Thank you so much--how could I miss such a large stone--clearly I was in the wrong section. THANK YOU!! S. Donath #48116482
