2015 season is about to begin. Here in Ohio, it is still cold with snow every few days but Easter weekend we are leaving for MO where it will be in the 70's. Not planning on much graving but I can't do without some. Going to St Louis, Springfield, IL, Kearney, MO and Excelsior Springs, MO with our grandson, Luke. He is into Ghost hunting. Hope to bring back some missing headstone shots and get to know more of our family members.|

My husband's paternal grandmother was an Aycock. I will send you an email message tomorrow (Memorial Day) explaining his connection and what I have on the families.

Thanks for the reply Helen, I know a fair bit about Thomas' life but unfortunately can't confirm who his parents are. Elizabeth's maiden name is Laughlin (and I do know her parents). The family lore is that there was a relation to President Buchanan - his full name was Thomas Frame Buchanan Smith. My father's middle name was Buchanan.

Thanks for all the work you've done here - I came across the graves of Thomas FB Smith and his wife Elizabeth. Can I cask your relation? These were my dad's grandparents.

I'm trying to find GPS coordinates for this cemetery. I see you've been there to take a cemetery photo - can you help me? If you can find the spot on Google Maps, just right-click on the spot and select, "What's Here?" That will give you the coordinates.

Are you related to John? Do you know where he is actually buried? I added a memorial for him, havng him buried at Manassas National Battlefield, since that is where he died during the Civil War. I can't find a burial record for him though. I would appreciate any info you have to offer.
Thanks for your time and your MANY contributions to Find A Grave!

|Greene-Shemwell||RE: James Albert Evans|
I have that James Albert Evans married Ida Susan Lamb on 26 Aug 1886 in Rockingham County, Virginia. They were divorced on 31 Oct 1896 in Rockingham County, Virginia. I don't have a reason why. I have that they had 4 children, Cora Ellen Elizabeth, Beulah Ann, James Harvey & Beverly Yager (male). His marriage to Ida says he was born in 1865 in Shenandoah County, that is where I pulled that information. Then I have a death record for him that says he died 20 Nov 1920 in Union County.
I don't have any other information. Ida is my first cousin 4x removed.
Ida married William Edward Showalter on 29 Dec 1897 in Dayton, Rockingham, Virginia. They had William Russell, Paul Edward, Donald Webster, Theodore Harry & Glenn Hamilton.
Ida is the daughter of William H. & Elizabeth Catherine Sandy Lamb. I descend from the Elizabeth's parents, William E. & Susannah R. Rawley Sandy.
I never really followed with what happened to James A. Evans, but I got where he was buried from his death record. I did take a quick look and noticed that there is a marriage from James A. Evans and a Elizabeth Ell Gilbert.
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

I couldn't find where this has been asked. James Jack Anderson was my great grandfather. I was wondering where you got the "P" in his name title. Also, all children have passed now. I'll try to find the Find A Grave #s to send to you. Kami
