I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Daniel Carlyle Ahern and I married in 1971 and he passed away in 1986. We had three children. I now live in Texas and have remarried. I have four living children and five grandchildren.
I started realizing how neglected some cemeteries were when I began exploring Texas. I didn't realize until I found this site that there was something I could do to help preserve some of the memorials. I took a few pictures at a local cemetery and posted them on Find a grave. When I went back two weeks later, something (or someone) had knocked over the memorials. I was so glad that I had taken the pictures and posted them on Find A Grave. If you find any errors on the data that I have added, please let me know. I only add information to help others further identify the individuals. | |

Find A Grave Memorial# 110024374 is also buried there in the cemetery. It would be nice if the burials could be linked. Is there a way of linking memorials that have different authors? Also, Leon is the son of my Great Grand Uncle T.R. Dawson and Julia Fletcher Dawson who are also buried there, if you'd like to make note of it.

Thank you for adding the information I had previously sent you on my grandfather.
He only had five children, Ruby Earnestine Shaw 1913~1988, Hugh Clifton Shaw 1914~1992, Thomas Elmer Shaw 1916~1991, Virginia Sue Shaw 1918~ 1920 and Mary Celestia Shaw 1923~1993.
There is an Edward and a George listed on your list of children. He only had these five children I have listed. I cannot locate any documentation where he had any children named Edward or George.
I appreciate the time you have spent on doing the research and taking pictures.
I have more information on other family member's buried there in Rockwall if you would like for me to send it to you. Please let me know. I know what you publish needs to be correct and documented. I would not provide you with false information because it is as important for me to get correct information on my family as it would be for others. If I am missing something on these two other children, George and Edward, that you have listed please let me know. I can not locate these two in any of my searches.

Earnest lives in San Diego and went to school with
me at Rockwall, Texas High School. He said his middle name was not "Maron" as ancestry. com shows
but "Macon" or some other derivation.

I tried to e-mail you privately, but it sent it back stating you no longer have that e-mail address.
I having been doing research on my ancestors for 1 1/2 years now and Ancestory.com recently linked Find A Grave to it's data base and I got a hint about George W. Shawver. I looked at the pictures you posted for George Washington Shawver and I think they might be one in the same, but the information I had did not place him in TX at the time of death, this would be a big and very interesting find if it is the same person!

The research I have found placed my 4th great grandfather as being born in VA abt 1814 and possibly dying in Kanawha Co, West VA. It seems too ironic not to investigate the person that you have taken these pictures of in TX though. My 4th great grandmother Sophia Kincaid died in 1869, so it would not be unexpected that he would have remarried, as I see you have it documented that his wife was M.A. Shawver.
My big question to you is, how did you obtain all the information that you posted on the find a grave site? This is more detail than what is on the headstone.

Married to M. A. Shawver. They were the parents of Austin H., Josephine Louisa, Lena and John Melton.
I would greatly appreaciate your reply. I hope I am not disturbing you. I appreaciate all your work on find a grave. It is not easy to travel to all these different states to track down ancestors!
