I am 50% Irish, 25% German, 12.5% Swedish, and 12.5% Norwegian based on my family tree, if you stop at my great-grandparents. However this ratio is different at Ancestry as of 2019 based on my DNA. I am now 84% Ireland and Scotland, 11% European Jewish and 3% Norwegian, and 2% Sweden. I was aware that some of my Swedish ancestors migrated from Scotland to Sweden in the 1600s.

Birth:
Richard was born in Paramus, New Jersey in 1958.

Education and career:
Richard went to Montclair University and later Rutgers University gaining a Masters Degree in Chemistry. He worked at most of the major pharmaceutical companies and spent seven years at Merck in Rahway, New Jersey.

Genealogy:
He started work in genealogy in 1986 when he made a list of cousins and later wrote it up in Microsoft Word on his Macintosh computer. He found living relatives in Sweden and in Norway. He is still searching for living relatives in Alsace, Germany, and Ireland.

Origins:
His Alsace origins are in Strasbourg. His Norway origins are in Farsund. His German origins are in Berlin. His Conboy Irish origins are in Hollygrove and Coalpits, Athleague, Killeroran, County Galway. His Finn and Creedon Irish origins are from Millstreet, County Cork. His Kershaws were from the Netherlands, but were in the US before 1850. His Burkes and Nortons have not been traced back to a county in Ireland.

Death:
On my death transfer my account to one of my children, Sara or Daniel.
