|L.L. Scott||de la rua|
Pensacola was attacked in 1861, F.E. de la Rua born 1846 was only about 15, he would not have been the county clerk who removed the records to Greenville. It must have been Filo born 1815. I can't find my Wentworth books to look :-)
Google books search brings up "Filo" and John.

I think you put the picture on the wrong de la rua.
Its been a while since we last corresponded. I hope you are doing well. Nothing much new is going on here in New Orleans with me. I was just updating my records.

I have also posted photos for Clayton Carter, T.N. Carter, and two infant Carters (all children of Alonza and Rhodicy Carter) @Mt. Airy Baptist from my trip down last week.

Yes Ma'am. I shall.
|James Rhodes||RE: Hattie Mary "Mamie" Skipper Christodoulou|
Regarding TB as her cause of death, I checked the Palmetto records book and the Georgia Mortality index. Neither record the cause of her death. She married a man named Nicholas Alfred Chritodoulou in 1923. She died in July of the same year at their home at 1404 George Street here in Brunswick.

Glad to help. The information that is in the Palmetto Cemetery Book states that Mr. Churchill was an electrician with the Atlantic Refinery oil company. It says that Mr. Rowe was an electrician also but he worked for the telephone company. Possibly Mr. Churchill led him into that field. It said that Mr. Rowe died of tuberculosis.
|Jerry Thomas||RE: Robert Chavis|
My honor to do so.
I have also posted the photo of the headstone for his wife, Linda Lugenia Mosley Chavis who is interred in a different section from Robert. She is in Sect 20, plot 102A, grave 2.
|T. (Tommy) L. Surles III||RE: T. L. and Maggie|
I haven't read the message board in a long time, but I have figured out how to get sites transferred to me.
T. L. and Maggie are my grandparents. Never knew that she was called Maggie until I read the 1920 census of East Carroll Parish.
He was named T. L. and her name is Margaret Madison Lokey Surles, but was nicknamed Madge, and I guess my grandfather called her Maggie.
Go to the site for them in Lake Providence cemetery, in Louisiana, East Carroll Parish and see what I have done with their sites.
Thanks, Tommy Surles (Tommy is a nickname as it am really T. L. Surles, III

I would be happy to post it or transfer her to you. I am not related either but live near the Makiki Cemetery.
