Nathan John Bewes
I found out that this memorial is a duplicate of one of mine although your spelling is Beves when it should be Bewes. I also placed a memorial to this veteran so I'll link the two of them to each other or could I ask you to delete your memorial as I have more information on it.

Francis Burns - Dunwich
Hi Muriel - I have just started a Dunwich Benevolent Asylum grave site. So you can move your entry from here to there if you wish. It is completely separate from Dunwich Cemetery as I am only placing those who died at the Asylum on the site. My Gt Uncle being one of them.
I have been to the State Archives and have all Male records up to admission Sept 1882. Will have females when I go back in the next few weeks. Am trying to obtain all the Asylum admissions to put those that died on this site. I have discovered 3 UK (Irish) Veterans from the Battle of Waterloo and a German who fought at the Battle of Leipzig in 1813. My phone number - 0731340975 f you wish to chat.
Happy New Year - John.

WW2 Honour Board
WO2 Mathew Quittenton (Photo)
Hello Muriel,

Thanks for all the brilliant work you do.

I am researching 74 names on the WW2 Honour Roll Board at Canterbury Baptist Church (Melbourne) and WO2 Mathew Quittenton is one of them. I am writing a book so these people will not remain forgotten.

Wondering if I could please have a copy of the lovely photo you have posted of Mathew Quittenton?

Email address is

Many thanks

It was just pointed out that when I posted this memorial that I posted the headstone photo of the wrong person on in 2009. I have deleted the wrong photo and posted the correct one on his memorial. Just thought you would like to know.

Arthur Boyes
Muriel - came across your headstone photo of Arthur Harold Boyes in Kranji War cemetery, married to Marjorie Armstrong, daughter of Percival Armstrong and Grace Ethel Throssell (daughter of George Throssell and Anne Morrell) - I would like to use the photo in a book on the Morrell family - may I have your permission please.

I live in Victoria Point, Queensland.

Cpl HRT Cross, Sydney Memorial
Hi Muriel. There are duplicate memorials for Corporal Harry Cross in the Sydney Memorial. Since the IWPP memorial (Mem# 18396524) predates yours (Mem# 41590066), I suppose theirs is the one that should survive, though I really like the photo and information you've provided.

In the meantime, I will upload a panel photo on both memorials.
