|My name is Margaret and I am 70 years old, and I grew up in Pittsburgh PA, now live in the Zelienople area. |
I enjoy genealogy and I'm always hunting for pieces of family history and I found traveling to Cemeteries does help myself and others. I am happy to travel cemeteries when it is possible to do so, and when the weather is good I will go out and see if I can help and get the request in my area. I do not make any promises to do so, as I don't know from day to day. "I DO NOT DO WINTER CEMETERIES".
I have taken on the project of going to cemeteries to look for family members and my camera seems to just keep taking pictures of everyone and anyone. If there is a plot and a lot of hard to read I then take a shot of the plot.
I have been doing this for years and figured it was time to clean up my computer and start doing something with these pictures beside sitting on the hard drive.
I am very happy to place them on FIND A GRAVE to help others with their family information.
I have not found many of my family but I know others have had luck with the site and I am willing to do my part.
In advance I hope I have not offended anyone with placing a memorial on the site if you want one removed or if you have anything at all to add or to fix, please don't hesitate to share it with me, I am happy to make changes if need. Just follow the link to make any request.
In advance I apologize again but do not have time for personal research. All the information that I have is on the memorial. Please do not send me emails requesting more information.
Note: my names are STILTS/STILTZ of PA, Indiana county and Allegheny, THOMAS of New York, some moved to York Nebraska.
My husband's is McCarter, Douthitt/Douthett of Beaver and Lawrence County PA,
Good Luck to all of you in your search, May God bless everyone. If you are a relative I will transfer them to you as I fell they should be with their family mainly the direct line should stay together.
I must thank BOB (my husband) as I have been having a lot of problems getting to cemeteries, He has been going out a lot more than I and taking a lot of pictures for me to place on find a grave.

Thank you for the offer of transferring management of the above, but I am not related.

Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave.

Thank you for the corrected information on Anna E Luff Thorhauer #113284504. I see that her father's name is listed on her death certificate however, her mother's name is listed as "unknown". Would you happen to know her mother's name? Thank you, Susan
Hello, you're welcome, glad I was able to share these photos with everyone. The Kimmel cemetery is abandoned and completely overgrown. The GPS location given on the website is not correct, I was able to find the cemetery using old maps. If you would like to try and visit, contact me and I would be happy to help you find it.

Thank you for correcting her name!!!! I'm guessing you mean Sewickley Cemetery. I'm going on what someone else did when the memorial was created. I've never been there.
Where did the "Anna Gertrude" come from? I'm not finding nor did I ever hear that in connection with her name. I did have a framed picture of her until Feb 28, 2011 when my husband let our house catch fire.
Her husband, William Gottfried Breidau, married a second time to a lady named Mathilde. They went back to Germany where he died. An interesting note: He was gardener to Mary Roberts Rinehart. She used the name for a street name in one of her books. I found it. She also gave the family a few presents (See mention of fire above.)

This lady was one of my great-grandmothers. I need you to correct her married name B-R-E-I-D-A-U. Breidau. It does not end with "N" although that is an easy mistake to make when looking at handwriting.
Be glad my mother is not alive. You would be able to hear her screaming from here in NW Ohio. I kid you not. She did not take misspelling of her names gladly!
I have been wondering where this lady was buried. Does she have a marker? Her husband remarried. He also died in Germany but I don't know if he is still buried there. Her name was not Anna Gertrude either. The marriage record is on FamilySearch.

Hi...it seems some people are not receiving their SAC emails from Findagrave, so I'm copying the edit I sent you here:
Link to memorial:
This memorial is your accidental duplicate of http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=151264140
Not a week goes by that someone doesn't make this same typo!

Thanks so much for trying to locate this grave. Really appreciate the time you spent trying to fulfill this request.

Marge and Bob, Thank-you for attempting to fill my request. I noted on the her memorial that her burial plot could not be located and there were several stones that are unreadable. Again, thanks for your help. Larry
