Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've entered various kinds of cemetery records here at findagrave.com:

1) My own family members, if I know what cemetery they have been buried.

2) Photographed many, many cemeteries in the Readington Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ area. I do not live in this area anymore.

3) Various cemetery records that I have access to books for all US States.

4) I am just about finished with photographing the cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma. There are about 10% unphotographed and have to figure out which section that I missed. This is my hometown cemetery so its especially dear to me.

5) Starting to photograph more cemeteries in the Eureka, St. Louis Co., MO area...but I've been slow at this. The Franklin Co., MO Cemetery Society pretty much has this area covered. Their contact information is www.cemeterysociety.org.

I have an interest in all tombstones of service men and women. Especially the ones that mention the Revolutionary and Civil War.

I research many surnames, such as: Adkins, Akins, Armitage, Cullins, Elms, Harding, Kirkpatrick, Pennington, Pitts, Redford, Thomas, Whiteaker, Woodrome/Woodrum, Wilson, etc.

If you find any errors or would like to have additional information posted to any records that I have added, please contact me and I'll make those changes for you.

I have no problem with transferring ownership of a memorial that I have created. Just ask and it is yours.

You have my permission to use any of the photographs that I take for your genealogy family history. No need to ask, this statement is all that you need. If you list me as the source for the photo, just source me as Mindy.

Please do not be offended of headstone photo's that I took. I think the persons would rather be remembered than told to remove and forget. Its not my intention to hurt or offend.

Mindy

Mindy,
This is my brother thank you for making such a nice memorial page for him. He died in Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA right across the street from where we grew up. He fell off a roof while trimming a tree for a friend and died instantly on his birthday. Such a sad day for us. I will try to post a couple more pictures of him for you.
Sincerely,
Vicki Pennington Bishop
P.S. I will connect him to our Mother who just died last month as well.

Bonnie Thetus Hopkins Jenkins, Memorial# 12163337.
Do you know who added this information on Bonnie Thetus Hopkins Jenkins, Memorial# 12163337.

Thetus was first married to William A. Jenkins. They divorced and she married Joe Anderson Griffey. They divorced and she remarried William A. Jenkins.

I'm doing research on this line and wondering how accurate this information is.

Thank you,
Karlene Hokanson

Penningtons
Mine go from PA, OH, IN, IL, IA, NE, and just recently found some of the side branches in KS and WA. :). The only one that drives me crazy is my John Pennington born about 1827-28, OH, son of Joshua & Mary Higgins Pennington, grandson of Amos & Elizabeth Barre Pennington who died somewhere in IL , most likely in Hancock County, after 1870 census and 1880 census where wife is widow. ??? I've looked high and low and only one I've been able to locate online in various records is one I asked you about years ago and you thought it was an older John. I need to take a road trip to Illinois. :) Anyway if I find any directs that you manage I may ask for a transfer. Mostly I've just seen note or pics you added to various memorials. Thanks for all you've done, helped me out several times because of notes you added. cyndi

Are your yours descendants of Amos & Elizabeth Barre Pennington PA? Interested in swapping info ? Maybe we have separate branches of same trunk. PS I live in South central MO. Cyndi

Civil War type Tombstones
Mindy,

I am impressed with your terrific record on Findagrave! I am hoping that since you have seen many Civil War type Tombstones that you will be able to date some ancient ones in an old family cemetery in Virginia that is in my family. The graves belong to three young children who died in this time period. The graves are each rectangular and framed in something that looks like concrete about three inches wide. Have you ever seen any like that?

Thank you,

June Phillips

Mindy, are you in touch with Jamie Riggle at all? She is on your friends list and I am trying to reach her about one of her memorials. It is my GGG Grandfather. The email she has registered at Find A Grave isn't working and I am desperate to contact her.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
