I am retired, mother of 2 grown boys, and grandma to wonderful twin grandsons. I have been researching my family, as well as my husband's family since I retired. My late mother-in-law had given me her family bible with names/dates written inside dating from the mid-1800s. After that I was hooked and work on the family tree almost every day.|

|Headstone Genealogist||Mount Royal Cemetery Photo Request|
Mount Royal Cemetery has 165 acres. The burial plot location must be supplied so a volunteer can go take the photo.
You can get this free information by filling the form here: www.mountroyalcem.com/index.php/en/our-services/genealogy-menu.html and in the "Desired Service" field, select "Burial Location (free)" and enter the information.
If the Genealogy page was not helpful then email your request to email@example.com
The cemetery will email you the location (3-10 working days).
Have the memorial updated with the plot number.
You will have made it possible for the photo to be taken.

Re your photo request. I just finished mowing this cemetery. It is the worse I have seen in terms of destroyed or toppled monuments. I have no idea whether it is due to vandalism, deer or topography. Unless someone does some major restoration, you will probably not get a photo. Sorry.

Good afternoon. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I just transferred management for Nellie Focht and William Focht to you. Those are the only two memorial pages that I created for the Focht children. Susan

I just wanted to let you know that I just completed posting photo's for Amandus, Amelia and Lillie Focht. I also posted and created a Memorial Page for Amelia's children, William Focht, Nellie Focht and Eddie Schliem. Eddie's parents were Samuel and Amelia Schliem Focht. If you like, I can transfer management to you or to someone else if you like. All of the children are buried in the Focht family plot.

I was through Voganville cemetery last week. I kept an eye out for your photo requests, but I didn't see them. It is always possible I could have missed them though.

Dilemma: I am trying to find out if you are a relative of Hugh Shannon, Find A Grave # 85150233..? My dilemma is that his grave stone is relatively new and is inscribed with PVT, Co. K, 52nd Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment on it. His marker also indicates he was born in 1843 and died in 1923. Here is the dilemma: Hugh Shannon, PVT, Co. K, 52nd Regiment Illinois Infantry is buried in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. He was born in 1818 in Scotland and died May 15, 1897 in Elgin, IL. His pension paperwork verify his death as in 1897, not 1923. There is a Find A Grave memorial for him at Bluff City Cemetery, #113853220. I am a civil war researcher and have not been able to find 2 Hugh Shannon's serving in the same unit. Could you look into this and get back with me.

Thank you for the finding the cemetery for Alice Ida Buesing Hagerman, Memorial #45526902.
I was able to verify burial location with her son. Also, found out that her sister, brother-in-law, and the girl's parents are also buried there.
Memorials contributed and then finding the other two children and link all to their parents.
Thank you so much for putting that family together.

Yes! I purchased a group of photos at the Nashville Flea Market last weekend. They were all from the Sprague family.
