Hi all, I'm once again on partial retirement and able to devote more time to doing family research, please feel free to contact me.
After doing my DNA test on Ancestry.com I've been working on updating my DNA matched memorials. Family names that I've been working on recently are "White" family of Pike County, Arkansas.
I'd like to extend to each of you the invitation to use the information that I have placed out on Find a Grave without getting my prior permission to do so. If you would like you can add the link to the memorial so that other fellow seekers can know where you got your information. Plus if a memorial is linked it makes looking for family members easier.
Happy seeking, Your Sister in Christ, Dona (Carr) Mooring
I am reluctant to delete them, as they have headstones in the Cornish Cemetery. I have known people to have as many as three different headstones, in one or more cemeteries. Unless someone has personal knowledge or records of burial, it is hard to know which one they are really buried under. Do you know for a fact that they are actually buried in Ringling? If I did delete these, someone would come across the headstones and re enter them later anyway. How about if I reference the numbers of the memorials in the Ringling Cemetery on the Cornish memorials? If you know they are really buried in Ringling, I will put a note to that effect on the Cornish memorials.
Lucy Carr Powers I am writing about your memorial 83835326 for Lucy. The obituary and her death certificate state that she was buried in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Scott Co, KY. I cannot find this cemetery so I wondered if you knew of it or if it became known as the Georgetown cemetery at some point.

Adar Reynolds Thank you so much for displaying newspaper clippings of my grandmothers death. I know I would never have been able to find these. Adar was the first wife of Marion Reynolds. They had 2 boys. My dad was only 16 when she died. I remember reading in a letter a relative had that was written by Adar. It told of the flu outbreak in Hutchinson, KS.. Within a week she was dead. Thanks again.
Albert O Carr Cindy, I would love any information you could give me on one of Mary B Stewart Carr's children. Albert O (Oapley?) Carr. I believe he was married to my Great Aunt Lela Marjorie Skaggs. My father, her nephew, doesn't know what happened to her. She was "according to my father" mentally disabled and a bit on the wild side. So far I have found that 3 of the children born to the marriage of Albert and Marjorie died young. I have 2 other children that may still be living. Dana Louise Carr 1943– Ruby Ann Carr 1944–1959 Ernest Glenn Carr abt 1945– Nadine Cora Carr 1947–1947 Baby Boy Carr 1949–1949 was not named My question...when did Lela Marjorie die, or is she still living? Her parents were William Felix and Emeline Hay Skaggs. My father is the last of his family line that I can find. The siblings are as follows: John Efferd Skaggs Sr 1896–1968 Effie Jane Skaggs 1899–1968 Eva Verlin Skaggs 1902–1985 James Oral Skaggs 1908–1963 my grandfather Verna Mae Skaggs 1912–1960 Lela Marjorie Skaggs 1920– I have no information on Marjorie after the 1940 census where she was living with her father in Kentucky. They had lived in Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio most of my Father's life except for a while in Greenup (Kings Edition or Addition) I only have obits for some of the children and death records listing her as their mother.
Any help you could provide would be GREATLY appreciated.
