My earliest known ancestors are James and Catherine (Thomas) Adams. They were born in 1800-1810 in TN & NC respectively. They moved to Ray County Missouri in the fall of 1837 along with a wagon train caravan of the Grimes, McGlothin, Yoakum, Kincaid, and VanBebber families. I am seeking info on their early life (prior to 1840) as well as info on their children, and descendants.|

Thank you, Elise for the transfer. Winter months are usually my time to do fam. history. I love this website. Hope you'll have time to return soon. Great contributions you've made!! Glad you did a memorial for Maggie Cook Williams, memorial # 59092562. I'll reference Maggie in the bio section of my great-grandmother Celia Cook Tickle, memorial # 46278246. Maggie and Celia were sisters. Thanks again, best wishes to you!

|Christie Adams||Re: Wagon Train|
Elise - I was wondering where you got the information about the wagon train to Missouri? I'm wondering if our Adams family is connected because mine came from VA, headed west into KY on their way to Missouri. Most of them perished during the way & only one child ended up living until old age. He was sent back to VA to be raised by friends of the family. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. Thanks Much!

Hi Elise. Would you consider turning over Clarence Adams memorial to me? 59471553
I sent a request to add Chesley as his father. Kristi has ordered Clarence's birth certificate from North Carolina and hopefully it tells us who his mother really is. Everything says Rosa but on the census it has him being born in Florida along with the woman that is living with them Elizabeth Yates. Another mystery. I started an Adams Family page on facebook. If you ever get on there let me know.

Thank you for expressing your interest and appreciation of documenting the memorials in Lower Sturgeon Cemetery. I went with some trepidation because it is so remote but it's a lovely peaceful spot and I enjoyed my day very much. My mom is from Big Falls and she told me about the cemetery and that she had a friend at Sturgeon River Landing when she was young. Thanks for taking the time to write the message. It's good to hear back from family members.
|Steve Seim||RE: Sarah Barker In Atwater Cemetery|
I added her information from a cemetery list, which means that she had a marker at the time (1970s). If you want to put in a photo request, we should be able to get up there in the next few days.

Hi Elise. Not sure why I left flowers on that Cobb grave. Will go to Find a Grave and look at it. Right now I don't have a FTM in my computer with all my genealogy on it. I had to get a new comouter and have some thing I need to do before I can add the genealogy back in. Will look and see if anything rings a bell. I live close to Shidmore, in St. Joseph, MO. Now I am curious.
