Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Frank Leek and living in Bovenkarspel, Holland.
I'm for many years interested in the planecrashes of the planes from ww2 here in my area, Noord-Holland.
My greatest interesting goes to the 390th BombGroup and there crewmembers. (Special to the day July 07 1944. On this day 2 B-17 bombers, 42-107070 and 42-97983, crashed here in Hoorn, Holland.)
Hopefull are there people who can help me with my research to this all.

Kind regards,

RE: Frank D. Gallion.
Hi Frank,

The marker is a memorial. I don't know that he is buried there. We don't have burial records for that cemetery.

I would hope that his remains were sent back to Holmes County, but I don't have documentation of that.

If you have any information, let me know.

Hello, Frank.

There is a marker for Frank at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Holmes County Ohio. Here is the memorial number #132360796

I don't know if he is truly buried here or if this is just a memorial marker for him.

I hope this helps.

Have a great day!

Mr Leek, Young Mr Gallion was the son of John Franklin Gallion and Nira Hattie Groff. He was born
19 Sep 1914 in Holmes County, Ohio, USA. He had 5 brothers and sisters, Ralph (John was about 2 when Ralph died at at 12) Cleta Joy, Alta M, Madge E, Ottmar Groff, 2005 is the year the last 2 children of this family died. He may be buried in Holmes County, Ohio. There was a write up in the Newspaper when his remains were discovered. I have a copy of that story. I can not get a hold of it right at this moment. It could have been in the Town of Killbuck Ohio. I do not know any living members of this family. Sincerely, Iris Gallion, Kingsland, Georgia, USA

I have tried for the past month to get Forest Lawn Cemetery to provide me with information on section, lot and space your loved one is buried in so I can take a headstone photo for you. They have been uncooperative in supplying me with this data

If you wouldn't mind calling the cemetery at 409-892-5912 and asking them for information on where your loved one or ones are buried I will be happy to take the photo for you. I have detailed maps with sections and lot locations from previous searches at the cemetery and can find headstones from these maps.

You can email me back the information with the Individual's name, section, block, lot and space and I can go out to the cemetery and find the headstone.

Thank you for your help.
