Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live on the south banks of the Illinois river where it flows into Oklahoma from Arkansas. This gives me access to NE Oklahoma and NW Arkansas easily. I am mostly retired (there are "honey-do" projects, etc.)and thorougly enjoy genealogy projects. I am a research host of USGENWEB's Gregory County, South Dakota web site. In addition - I belong to a history research group for a neighboring county in Nebraska - Boyd County. I enjoy chasing down rabbit trails I find in genealogy projects (especially with my family branches)and have met many great folk via the internet this way. So feel free to communicate with me. I am using a digital camera for the Grave Stone project so am not having expense with that and I intend for the walking while searching through a cemetery to be part of my exercise regime.

Thanks
Thanks so much for all your help in finding my Great Grandmother Elizabeth Jenner Kirshman. I have all her children listed on her memorial now. It has been well worth the time and effort. Barb in OK

RE: Clinton Read family
Thank you for your nice words...this is truly a work of love...We visited Anoka & Butte a few years ago...my mother was born at Anoka. Didn't know about the cemeteries in Anoka..please keep me in the loop when you find the infant son.

Did you follow my Grandmother Anna Walker Read on find a grave?

A lady from the Butte area contacted me by way of e-mail a couple of days ago asking about Clinton Read too.

Also what is the name of the group and do you have info on line? I just found a site last night that had my Grandfather mentioned as one of the early businessmen in Anoka and also my grandmother Anna Walker Read's father Joe Walker was mentioned. I so love bringing my relatives to life in my heart and for my children and grandchildren.

Thanks again. Kaye Willand

Not related to Robert Davis. Davis is such a common name. I will email the baby's headstone picture.

I also snapped a picture nearby of an infants headstone labeled Amber E Cox. B. Aug 24, 1990 and d. March 8, 1991. Would you like that? if so tell me where to send it.

Joe-
Sorry it's taken me so long to respond, it's been very hectic here, as of late.

On your birthplace problem, Odessa, S Russia is now in the Ukraine. (My family came from German/Russia/Ukraine, and Poland/Germany.) The borders have fluctuated very much over the years. It's neat, but also can be very confusing!

And you're right, it was a six, not a five. Merely a typo on my part. I was adding a lot of graves to Prospect at the time. Yeesh.

I will transfer her memorial to you. I'm not related at all, just love my hometown history.

Maybe I should make the condition of explaining how she ended up buried in Wessington Springs, when she died in Mobridge? She has been a curiosity of mine since I came across your email. Was there family here? I haven't been able to find her name mentioned in any of my records for Wessington Springs. Do you know?
