Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching some of the 36,000 + Army Air Forces personnel who died in the line of duty, of non-combat causes during the World War II era in service-related accidents. It is said that more
than 15,500 Army airmen were killed in airplane accidents between 1941 and 1946, within the borders of the U.S. and it's territories. They gave their all and died in the service of their country, but received no purple hearts and virtually no mention in the history books and have largely been forgotten by time.

For corrections, additions, or requests for transfer of memorial, please use the Edit tab, and select Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Information to make any update requests. It is much easier to handle the issue this way, rather than a personal message.

I am happy to update any memorial, including family links. But I DO NOT like adding census information, copies of death certificates and please do not add long obituaries to the "photo" area. The information can be condensed and pasted into the bio area. If you don't have the time to type out the obituary, just email it to me. I will add it and give you credit for finding it.
I appreciate any information that can "round out" someone's bio.

Connecting links for crew members memorials
Hi Tim,

I host memorial #52263910 for Cpl. Hugh Smiley McCall Jr, who also died on the "Ball of Fire" on 20 March 1945. How were you able to link all of the memorials to your memorial page?

Tim, thanks for making the change and taking him out of the German Reformed Graveyard in Greencastle, but I think you should also include in the specifically: Marion and not Greencastle. The card you have, says he was buried in Marion. Up to you. thanks, Jack

Dear Tim, I will talk to Joseph Dawson about this info that you have sent to me. I 'm a member of the Dawson family by blood. This is still a matter that the family don't like to talk about. But I will talk to her about this when I call her. It's not easy for her to talk. Can you email me what this info was on. My email to send it to Thank you for your time.

RE: Arthur T. Barnette
Hi Tim; looked again at the site for Arthur and the burial shows Greencastle, Franklin, PA; but, the death card you show on the page says Marion, PA. That is about 5 miles north of Greencastle and he is not in the Greencastle Reformed Church Graveyard. Ok? thanks for making a new change to Marion and not Greencastle. I have taken over the care of the Greencastle Reformed Church graveyard and Arthur is not there. thanks, Jack Webb
