Dear Ms. Lee, I am related to Verna Wells Coffey. She was my mother's great aunt. As a child, my mother spent a lot of time with Aunt Vernie and Uncle Roose. My mother and father both recently passed away and I have no relatives on my mom's side that I am aware of. My mother would not talk much about her childhood. I knew my great-grandmother, Sallie Wells, Aunt Ermon, Aunt Etta, Aunt Vernie, Unlce Noah, Sallie's son, and my grandmother, Annise Hart (sp?). I would appreciate if you would contact me with any information you have on this side of my family. It's so important to me. My e-mail address is email@example.com. Thank you. Beverly Sawyer-Valentne

I'd be glad to have the memorial.
If you do find anything else on James L. I would LOVE it! I used wonder if his grave and my other ancestors, Matilda Ashbrook, William and Mary Frances (Lynch) Ashbrook are under Lake Cumberland as I cannot find any record of burial or even exact death dates. Then I got hold of a listing of removed graves before the lake, they were not listed or perhaps as "unknown". There are so many other family members buried in both Russell and Pulaski Co. I know James L. died before 1854 because that year his third wife remarried.

The dates entered do not match the dates on the photo of the grave stone. I have James. M. Ashbrook in my genealogy files ad he was born December 29, 1859. I cannot read the death date on the stone, but I believe her died before 1870.
His grandfather was James L. Ashbrook born about 1790 and died before 1850. I wonder if her too could be buried in the Johnson Cemetery? James L. is my 4th great grandfather so I am very interested in any info you may have.

Would you happened to have an idea of which section they are in? I may be taking a trip there and I wouldn't mind trying to find them.

Not asking for his picture, don't even know if the family fits into ours but they keep cropping up in intriguing places. I usually copy pictures to compare to known family; if you branch out at all in your research I would invite you to look at my husband's memorial which is linked to a few others. If you are interested in comparing notes I would be happy to do so.. his name is Jack D. Ford and he is buried in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Bates County, MO.

Hi Mary, Thanks for connecting " Jim B" to his parents. I wonder why it didn't automatically connect them as spouses. They are John #12257587 & Lula #12257590. Would you connect them? Thanks, Nancy
