Thank you so much for the wonderful picture you have taken for me & my family. It is apprecited by a lot of family.
A Texan's family tree is like a beautiful rose with many fragrant petals, but with any rose, you have thorny branches that needs pruning on occasion....the same goes with families.
Beatitudes of the Family Genealogists:
Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, For they tell the story of their time. Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, For this provides proof. Blessed are the grandmothers who preserved family Bibles and diaries, For this our heritage. Blessed are fathers who elect officials that answer letters of inquiry, For some, this is their only link to the past. Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, For one of her children will surely remember. Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, For them who owe the family history. Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, For theirs is a labour of love. Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."writen by Unknown;

Nancy in reply, you have the links correct for both J.B. (John Bruce) Smith and Harriet Minerva Smith Meek, for the parents. Sad that the headstones for parents are in bad shape, but, I have no way to travel to Georgia or anywhere else. Have lived many places but raised in Oregon, now living in Colorado for one year, we moved here from Grayson County, Texas.I enjoy doing research and with this Smith family started with names only, knew nothing about them other than they were relative through Grandpa Boyd, my mom's father. Hope you had a great holiday I so appreciate all the work you have done. I need to contact a few others and am a little worried about offending others but I have seen some duplicates and know one person cannot be buried in two cemeteries, will try to be diplomatic, I make plenty of mistakes myself.

Re: Little Hope Cemetery in Wood County, Texas. Nancy, this is another sibling of my Great great grandfather A.I. (Austin Isac) Smith. Thank you for managing this memorial. The headstone photo seems to show her date of birth as June 13, 1852; and death October 5, 1899. From research of this Smith family she and a brother may have been twins born a day apart,one most likely after midnight. J.H. Smith (possibly - James Hiram Smith) as he had a son named Hiram; is buried at the Peavine Rock Spings Cemetery in Walker County, Georgia. His birth from headstone June 12, 1852. He was married to Cynthia Ann Gilbreath also buried same cemetery; death record in Georgia lists her parent as William C. Gilbreath. Possibly a half sister to Elizabeth Jane Gilbreath Smith the 1st wife of John Bruce.Please use same numbers as before to link John B. Smith to his parents for Harriet Minerva Smith Meek. Thank you so much for all the work you do.

I've transferred all I have. Let me know if you want any of the spouses of the ladies I sent with maiden name Faulk. If so, send me each one and request a transfer. I'm happy to transfer so look around! Thanks for taking care of these memorials. Kerry
I have others in Albert Faulk's family such as his brother Zoie Faulk. Check my profile and search for Faulk if you are interested. All are up for adoption. Kerry

|Sandra Gill Worthan||RE: MEMORIAL FOR J.B. SMITH AT SHARON CEMETERY|
Request to link J. B. (John Bruce Smith to his parents: his father #36926885; his mother #36931416. Thank you he was a brother of my great great grandfather - A. I. SMITH, Unknown where buried.
|Sandra Gill Worthan||Memorial for Barney Bishop|
Thank you for creating and sponsoring this memorial. He was the husband of Mary E. Smith, who was a sister to my great great grandfather A.I.(Austin Isac) Smith. Looks as though I have other ancestors at the Sand Springs Cemetery as well. A brother John Bruce Smith and some family at the Sharon Cemetery, and many others at Little Hope Baptist Church and Cemetery. My grandpa Oscar Grady (SAM)Boyd's family of Smith's through his mother Susan Velindy Smith Boyd. Do not find any records for her with her husband and 8 children. Anyway, thank you for all the wonderful work you do with ancestors. I went to Wood County, Texas in 2011 and it is very pretty county. Grandpa and Grandma Boyd are the ones I was raised around in Oregon.
