 | Blankenship Cemetery Hi DJ...
I am the genalogist in the BLANKENSHIP FMAILY - of Francis Marion and Margaret Crockett Blankenship...
I'm contacting everyone who has posted memorials and information for the Blankenship Cemetery that is located up Blankenship Fork Rd.
There are actually 2 Blankenship Family Cemeteries - up there:
The Ben Blankenship Cemetery is located at:
38.218724,-82.363421
And the John Blankenship Cemetery is located at:
38.212080,-82.362364
The John B Cemetery was actually OUR ORIGINAL FAMILY CEMETERY but due to some family issues!! LOL another one was begun on Uncle Ben's property...
There are 10 people listed as being buried in the Blankenship Cemetery - which is actually very close to where the John Blankenship cemetery really is and NONE OF THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY BURIED IN MY G-GRANDFATHER'S CEMETERY...
I'm going to set up the Ben Blankenship Cemetery and the John Blankenship Cemetery and then we can get these people in the correct cemeteries...
Also need to find out just where the Floyd Blankenship Cemetery is located on Cherry Branch Rd.

 | RE: Armstrong Cemetery DJ, If you are coming from Grayson, take the AA spur(9) you will make a left on Kinney/Kinniconick Road. I'm not sure of distance, but I think only a few miles. There will be a church and a green road sign saying Armstrong Cemt.on the right. Hope this helps! | | | LEA
 | Correction Hi, DJ. On memorial #17004263, you have Harry Cremeans' wife Lucy Cremeans listed as Lucy Yeager Cremeans. I believe she was actually a Madden. Harry's mother was a Yeager.Added by LEA on Dec 01, 2012 7:43 PM | | | a bisci
 | RE: John godfrey I have same info re: William except a b. date of 1790. Do you have any birth record(s) for him? Maybe I have the wrong William! Thanks!Added by a bisci on Nov 30, 2012 10:31 AM | | | a bisci
 | GODFREY LINEAGE Hi DJ! I am looking for any info on John O. Godfrey, b. 1816 in Kennebec, Maine, and d. bef. 1870 in Newark, NJ. His first marriage was in Ohio, second in Newark, NJ. He was supposedly the son of William Godfrey (b. 1776 Kennebec, ME), who was the son of Prince (b. 1740 Chatham, MA) and Phebe Merithew Godfrey. Any thoughts? This is my "brick wall"!
Thanks, AnnetteAdded by a bisci on Nov 29, 2012 12:06 PM | | | Rose

 | Stella Walker Hi I just got back from finding Stella's grave and all that is there is the funeral home marker, do you want me to post it and then keep checking to get a picture of the headstone when it is set? I live less than a mile from the cemetery so it won't take very long to go and check from time to time! Sharon | | | | [View all messages...] |
