Find A Grave allows me the opportunity to combine my interest in genealogy and history with my need to get a (very little) bit of exercise. |
I will gladly transfer management of any memorial that is not one of my family members. None of the memorials I've created in the San Antonio area are family members. Please let me know if you would like to assume management of any memorial I have created for your family member or close friend.
The photos I have posted on Find A Grave are intended to help document family histories. You have my permission to reproduce any of my photos for your personal, non-commercial use provided you treat the deceased and their memorials with respect.

I spent the morning at Pumphrey on 6/30/16 taking more photos. I had added about 50 records to the cemetery based on a listing I acquired. I am in the process of uploading those photos now. Since Pumphrey is a cememtery of interest to you, you might want to check back in a couple of days when I have the photos uploaded. Best wishes, joe

Nadine is my aunt. The wife of my mother's brother, Harry W. Evans. I am currently linking parents and sibs and adding info and photos. Would you transfer management to me?

Mel: Thank you so much for the management transfer of Charles Mack McCarley, Find A Grave Memorial # 104156875 in Mount Hope Cemetery, Dimmit County, Texas.
I am always pleased when someone transfers a family member to me.
Thank you for all your help.

Yes, that was confusing to me as well. I think it refers to each husband and wedding date. So she was born Pauline Frances Sramek in 1927. She married "Fry" in 1945, "Lee" in 1960, then "Peters" in 1973. And she died as "Peters" in 2001.
I'll submit the transfers.

Thanks. Senior moment!!!
Hey Mel--Thank you for all the great contributions to Find a Grave. I believe the note on John McCrorey's memorial [125582408
] needs some editing. Although the death year on the headstone sure looks like 1819, the report of his age in the inscription shows that it is really 1849. He is most likely the J. McCrorey in his 60's on the 1840 census in Fairfield. Also, I believe the end of the inscription is "in the 75th Year of his age." Finally, is the specific birth date legible on another part of the markers? If not, it would be helpful to indicate the source in the memorial's note. Thanks JHA

Man, I really don't know where I got that from. All I can think of is that I had multiple tabs open and clicked on the wrong one. Sorry! (and thanks for catching that!)
