Bio Photo I had a dream the other night a delivery truck pulled up to the house and was unloading some huge boxes and crates, four in all. I am watching as they are being loaded into the house and then I saw PARR Cemetery stamped on the side of one of the crates. My friend John Jackson was just about to open it and I screamed "Don't open it"... and I woke up!

I was born in Ottumwa, Iowa raised in Munterville, Iowa then moving to Blakesburg, Iowa and on to Muscatine, Iowa. Find a Grave has helped me bring my family who lived before me together. My Great Aunt Dr. Stella Pearson, D.O. (Aunt Teddy) enjoyed going to the cemetery to clean up, decorate, and tell me the stories about each family member we visited. I have found so many of my family because of our early trips to the cemetery. I just wished I had taken notes when she was telling the stories of family history. I put in a request for a picture of my father's grave over three and a half years ago and no one ever bothered to take a photo for me. Four hundred miles later I had his picture and many more. Today my passion is to fill as many photo requests as I possibly can for those who need that last family photograph. I am getting good at finding a grave and the walks are wonderful!

I have entered several cemetery records from online sources on snow or rain days so if I have any of your family no matter the relationship I will transfer just ask me and I will make it happen. Please provide your contributor number.

If you want multiple monuments photographed, please take the time to create a memorial for each person rather than attach a message to one request asking for multiple photos.

Family First,
Christine Masterson & John Jackson

Hi Christine,
I noticed that you have many photos from Newman Cemetery in Morgan Co. I would like to know if you can locate a marker for Alvis A. Braden? He died in 1879 and had a marker indicating his service in Co. I, 115th Reg. of the Ill. Inf. during the Civil War. His first wife was Ellen James, related in some way (I believe) to the Masterson family. I realize it is still freezing and snowing - this is just an early request to put on your list for this year sometime. Thank you for any help.

Birdie Fritz
Hello,

I was able to do some research and help you out with your search for Birdie Fritz. She is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. I have just created a memorial page for her and I will upload the picture of her stone momentarily. The reason that you were unable to find any information on her after 1900 is because she passed away in July of 1900. I was able to find a newspaper article speaking of her internment in Oakland Cemetery and also one that spoke of Mr. Lane traveling home to attend the unexpected death of his niece. This articles were found on the online newspaper database that our historical society has published. You may my want to use it for future research: http://centerville.advantage-preservation.com/search/site

Also, there was another on the same stone as Birdie. A Hazel L. Fritz (1893-1904).

Hope this helps.
