Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family history for more than 25 years. I've done most of my research in Kansas where I've lived my whole life. My main family surnames are Blackman, Lucas, Holland, Moore, Hunter, Wilson and Martin. I love helping others research their families if I am able. I love carefully tending the graves of those gone before us and will gladly honor your loved ones should you request that I find their marker and photograph it for you. No one should ever be forgotten.

Samuel Seth Dunn
Hey Melissa, I don't want to step on your toes. Would you place your photo of Sam and Florence Dunn's headstone on Florence's memorial please? Here is her number. You already have it on Sam's.

Dear Melissa Blackman:

I am told I MUST have WRITTEN PERMISSION from the owners of photographs on Find A Grave in order to thwart any copyright infringements. Credit would be given as "Courtesy, Melissa Blackman, contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ? ??" if that is satisfactory. May I hear from you as quickly as is convenient? Should I not hear from you by Nov. 30, I will, of course, remove the photograph from my treatise.

I spoke with Jeff at the Wyandotte Co. Museum today. He said there IS no section 87, even though the book says that. He is investigating. I love a good mystery! Thanks for your response!

RE: Joseph Carey
Thank you for taking the time to share what info you have. It lists the lot number but not the grave number, so this means what, we do not know the exact grave location? My goal is to put a headstone there for him eventually but that kind of complicates things. If you find the time to visit there and take photos of the general area, I would appreciate it. My email is (without the spaces) f r a t e r c o r l e o n i s at gmail dot com, you can send the photos there. Are there any other Careys listed in that cemetery? He had a wife but I cannot find out anything about her. Thank you again!

Hi Melissa,

I am referring to your entry for Find A Grave Memorial# 18315255: Silas H. Moore. I am his 3rd great grandson, and I'd like to know more about his father, Rev. William M. Moore.

RE: Hello cousin!
Hi, I will check and try to send you another one. I don't know who added the death date to William's grave. I've been working more since Christmas so I'm hoping that once summer is here I'll have more time to work on stuff. Hope all is well for you. Jessica
