Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Joplin, MO and lived there 24 years. I am 72 now and have lived in several states. My husband & I are in the ministry. I have been into genealogy for years and would be more than willing the help out when I can. I am in Iola Kansas now. We have retired but still work with a small church in Iola where my husband is Associate Minister.
I am a past president of the Daughters of Union Veterans, Hetty M. McEwen Tent #1, Memphis, TN so I post Civil War graves (both sides) when I find them.
If you want me to remove any listing I have made just let me know. I post them so people doing genealogy can find information about their loved ones. If any listing is offensive to anyone I certainly would want to remove it.If you want me to transfer any entry I have made just let me know.

Close inspection of the date on the memorial photographs by two people without prior knowledge of the date both agree with me that the date is October 5th, not the 6th, that agrees with the actual date of death. The grain of the stone is somewhat misleading, but the top of the number is straight across, while a "6" would probably look like an inverted "9", having a curved top

RE: William Ashburn
Just thought I'd give you an update. A close cousin of mine found the diary and did locate the Halman name in the diary. But that was about it....

Thanks for your help!

William Ashburn
Hi, I was just wondering if you are by chance related to William Ashburn born 1803? My 2nd great grandfather (Samuel Halman) resided with William and his family. I am trying to figure out why?

Thank you for your time,
Tina Denzik
