|My name is Evelyn. I started researching my mothers' Pope Co., AR family after she died in 1990. I have met so many wonderfull people, talking with them over the phone and traveling to AR twice. Many of them remember my Mother "Geri" and it is so good to hear these stories as my mother died when she was 59. My tree has grown over the years and now it is time to become part of Findagrave and list all of her family and relatives in a virtual cemetery. I think I must be related to everyone in Pope Co. I have researched the Teague, Crites, Bradley, Virden, Bewley, Davis', Dixon, Dollar, Duvall, Gipson, Lay, Russell, Thompson names, and many, many more. I am proud of what I have done, only wish my mother was here to help me. She loved her roots with Atkins, Pope Co., AR. I hope she knows how much love and time has come from this. And I hope too that I am able to help others looking for their missing puzzle pieces. |
I live in the central valley of Calif. I have been married to my husband for 40 years and we have 2 children. I have a married daughter but no grandchildren yet. Our son is single. My husband is a special person who doesn't mind the time I spend doing this as he knows how much I enjoy it. I love it, I am addicted. I just feel I need to find out all I can and as fast as I can. I know others feel the same way.

I saw that you had left a message on Janey Stepp's page on find a grave, did you find the information by researching or are you related somehow.
I am looking for information on Mitchell Mackey #70931113 and I noticed you left flowers. I've read your bio and wondered if you are related. I am stumped in finding Mitchell Mackey's parents and hoped you might know or have a clue. Thank you so much for all you do on find a grave. Kind Regards, Dena

|Polli Sunshine||Audrey Crow Brown|
I wanted to say hi and ask if you can share any stories or information of Audrey with me and my husband Ricky Pursley. Ricky's mother is Sheila Brown, and Audrey was his grandmother. It was special for me to read that Audrey loved working on family history. I am hoping to compile the history for Ricky's son Dylan.
|Hooked On Family||RE: Joanne A. Crouse.|
You are most welcome.
I am a relative through her spouse's lineage in the Crouse family.
I am glad I could help when you stated it would be good to know her last name.
I have a huge Crouse document, plus I researched on Anvestry.com.
Keep up your good contributions!

|Debbie Sunday||James Reason Jones|
Hi Evelyn, My name is Debbie Sunday. James Reason Jones is my Great Grandfather on my mothers side. Her father was Chester Leon who was James R. son.I am trying to learn more about this side of the family and have a little info but not alot. James youngest daughter is still alive and living in Russellville,Ark. She is Bonnie Jones Hopkins and she is 83 yrs. old. I talked to her this past weekend and she told me that her grandparents on both sides were buried in Kinder and Forks of the creek cemetaries in pope county. I looked them up but they were not showing so I added them. I would love to see what kind of info you might have that can help me out on my end...I should have paid more attention when I went to Oklahoma and Arkansas in the summers with my grandparents, but I do remember going with my papa to see all his cousins that were in the area. I look forward to hearing back from you... Debbie
|Nancy Cornelius||WJ Duvall at Rock Springs in Marshall Co. AL|
I found you from your memorial on find a grave. Do you know much about the Duvall family posted at Rock Springs. Almost all of the stones are part buried sandstones that are badly worn. Trying to post stones to the right memorial. Will try to go back and try etching the stones with paper or foil... chalk will not work for these. I think I found WY's but can not make out the dates

Thank you for your kind words
I saw your message about Earl and his family. I have found a record for an Earl Hice married to Myrtle Rose in 1942 in Franklin Co, Arkansas. Is this the same Earl?
