Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy and family history since I was 10 years old, and after many years away from it working as a school and agency administrator while raising an adopted family, have been thrilled with the advent of electronic searches for family members near and far. My focus is mostly on memorializing my family members who have gone ahead, so that my extended family can also see their history.

I will gladly transfer any Memorial Pages which aren't part of my extended family and close friends. Any photographs that I have personally taken and posted are available to be shared. After all, it's not about me; it's about them and their legacy.

A special thanks to all the awesome Find A Grave volunteers who work so hard to make these memorials and photographs available to the rest of us.

Do you happen to know Col Willard Clinton Fiske's two grandchildren's names were? I'm trying to do my entire family tree, he happens to be my 7th Cousin 4X removed.

Obit for Charles Ignatio Smith
Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me where you found the obituary for Charles Ignatio Smith (1867-1897), buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery. By the way, I assume that cemetery is someplace in Santa Clara County, but you you mind terribly, please, telling where that place is?

Please send a reply to my e-mail address at

Thank you so very much,
Lorraine Escobar

Joseph Pickett born 1730
Thanks very much for posting this gravesite with information. I see that it is noted that Joseph Pickett was a Patriot of the Revolution. Could you tell me where that information came from? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Yes, that is correct, I am a descendant of Martha Skillings, she was my Great, Great Grandmother married to Benjamin Elwell, my Great, Great Grandfather.

Memorial # 144395349 has your request for a photo, however there is no record on the Hale index for this burial. If they couldn't find in in the 1930s then, sadly, I am not going to be able to find it now: do you have another source to confirm he was buried here? He might be one of the broken or illegible stones at at that time.

RE: Frederick Wynkoop
Is there a way to privately share an email? I'm afraid I created an account just to message you and I haven't completely figured out how it works yet.

Frederick Wynkoop
Hello I'm a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology researching the local Deaf communities of the 19th century. A Frederick Wynkoop is documented as a student at the Western NY Institute for the deaf. His mother is Desire Wynkoop from Gorham NY and they left in 1881 for Oregon. There are some mentions of him in the school's newspaper. I was hoping you could shed some light about his father so I can clear up of the oddities from the census information.
