Bio Photo Hi!

A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 16 grandchildren! :) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best friend...my Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!

Update: Married my best friend, My Ed, Oct 3, 2014 and am now officially a "new" person lol

If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!!!!!!!

From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
*************************************************

I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial

Question about member D & L (#46624708)
Hello,

Have you had trouble contacting member D & L (#46624708)?

I have tried multiple times over the course of the past year and I have gotten nowhere. They do not respond to transfer requests. They do not apply edit updates. They do not link my other relatives.

I just sent Find A Grave administrators a formal complaint and I hope to make some progress.

The member has shut off the message function on their profile, so I suspect they have gotten a LOT of angry messages left by angry members who are not getting any response from them.

I cannot imagine why anyone would want to hold family members hostage. I just don't get it.

Just my luck that the memorials of my relatives are unfortunately managed and held hostage by that person.

Thanks,

Deb

No harm done. I just try to update memorials whenever I can for completeness. You never know when it will help someone else.

Adalia Rowlison
Thanks for pointing out the data on Adalia Rowlison's gravestone. She was one of my great grandfather's seven little sisters; family records had both spellings of her name. Thanks for the photo with her dates. Jerry

James David Littrell College Hill

Thanks for pointing this out. Someone else created this memorial and gave it to me. Hannah was the widow of Charles Temple, my gr grandfather who died when my grandfather was 3. James was the father of my grandfather's half brothers. I hadn't had the time to work on/correct his info. Are you working on many of the small cemeteries in Jefferson County? If you find any Temple graves, please stay in contact. I have no idea where Charles is buried, but I doubt Charles has a marker. Hannah was a young widow with three children, and I doubt she had money for a marker. My lines are also Dunham and Wyne and Ward.

I lost my husband last week, so now I'm more determined than ever to get all my info recorded so that my grandchildren have it, since my grandparents didn't tell me much - but I don't mean that cruelly. I just think they didn't know. Much of my family is rooted in Jefferson and Jennings County, but my grandparents moved to Fayette County when my mother was young.

I see that you are newly married. Congratulations! Treasure every minute. We were married 46 years, had a great life, but still had so much left we wanted to do. Don't put anything off.

Thanks
Donna
