RE: Andrew Jackson
Ron,
I talked to the guy at the Plumas County Museum and he confirmed what I told you. He said they were indigents, itinerants, laborers, gold miners for whom they were unable to
locate any next of kin. Some of them do have death or burial records at the Plumas County courthouse if you ever wanted to check into that. I see your Andrew was a miner, divorced and whose parents were already dead, so he would have fit that profile.

It is a lovely spot--nestled in the trees against a mountainside oveooking a wide valley and very close th Spanish Creek.

RE: Andrew Jackson
Hi Ron,
The Plumas County Cemetery, also known locally as the "Pauper Cemetery" has very few identified plots and there were no grave markers until sometime in the past 20 years or so, when the cemetery was cleaned up and small white wooden crosses were put on all the graves. One large memorial stone was created with all the names of those known to be buried there, listed in alphabetical order. That is what I photographed, focused so you could see his name. There are no dates listed for any of them. All the names are men. I was told the cemetery was established next to where there used to be a hospital, and many of the graves were gold miners or men who died in the 1918 flu epidemic.

The stone where the names are recorded I think is the picture Find A Grave has as the general photo for the cemetery. I'd have to check on that.

If you like, I can certainly take more photos of the stone or the crosses or surrounding area. I can also call the county museum for more info on the history of the cemetery.

You created a memorial for the above along with a bio listing his wife and one daughter. I have a request from another contributor to list another daughter, Myrtle. Do u know if they had a daughter named Myrtle or not? I cannot get source info from the other person.
Thanks for any help

RE: Lizzie Steelman Mathis Smith
Thanks for updating Memorial # 41233539 for Lizzie.
DId you see my request dated April 8, saying that Memorial# 41233512 should be deleted because it is a duplicate of the one you just updated?

Evelyn Weber Morlock
I am connected to the William Benjamin Weber Family and I was very interested in the information that you have, especially on Evelyn Weber. I never had that information, so I would like to know more on these people.
I did discover some of the information that you have on the Morlock family, I have a little more info. Rexin township is in Kidder Co., North Dakota. The 1910 census records have several Morelock families in that area.

Dean Cemetery
I've spoken with everyone I know with Sabine County Cemetery knowledge, including my friends that have family members in the King Family Cemetery or King-Dean Cemetery (as the new signs says) and we all agree that the Dean Cemetery and the King Family Cemetery aka King-Dean Cemetery are the same. Would you consider moving your memorial for Elizabeth Langford in the already existing King Family Cemetery and then I will ask Find A Grave to delete the Dean Cemetery? Thank you for your consideration. Kay McCary

Thanks for updating Ethel and Zula. I appreciate it. Almost done updating all my Steelman clan. So amazing how my great great grandfather could have so many descendants!
